[FAQ Document] Soft Magnetic Material of Iron-Nickel 'Permalloy'

Attention those struggling with magnetic properties! We are offering an FAQ document about the soft magnetic material "Permalloy," which has low coercivity and high permeability! A list of thicknesses is also included.

Permalloy is a nickel-iron alloy that contains 35-80% nickel (Ni) and is supplied in various forms such as sheets and rods, similar to many other metals. Its appearance is not significantly different from stainless steel or iron, but it possesses special properties that strongly attract magnetism. Due to its low coercivity and high permeability, it has a high magnetic shielding effect and a strong magnetic collecting action. It also exhibits a large output (magnetization) in response to fine input (magnetic field), and it increases the resistance (the ratio of voltage to current) in alternating current. As a result, it is applied in magnetic shielding rooms, magnetic shielding cases, magnetic shielding boxes, magnetic sensors, and various inductors (coils with windings on a core). It is effective in a relatively low frequency range, from extremely low frequencies below 1 Hz to commercial frequencies up to 200 Hz. 【Effects】 ■ High magnetic shielding effect and strong magnetic collecting action ■ Large output (magnetization) in response to fine input (magnetic field) ■ Increases resistance (the ratio of voltage to current) in alternating current *For inquiries or consultations regarding Permalloy, please use the contact form on our company website. 【Contact】https://www.ohtama.co.jp/contact.html

Achieving long lifespan for molding machine parts with carbide!

Everloy is a carbide manufacturer capable of providing a consistent production process from precision machining to the supply of mold parts made from super hard materials.

The emergence of resin materials with excellent heat resistance and durability is advancing the resinization of metal parts. Some resins contain additives like glass fibers, necessitating measures against early wear of parts and molds, as well as gas generation, which did not occur with traditional molding machines. We propose solutions to reduce the frequency of part replacements by replacing parts with super hard materials. 【Features】 ■ We offer a lineup of super hard materials that excel in "wear resistance," "corrosion resistance," and "heat resistance." ■ We conduct thorough investigations and condition analyses for short-lived parts. ■ We propose super hard materials tailored to applications and workpieces. Currently, we are providing materials that introduce case studies on solving issues related to mold parts. You can view them via "PDF Download."

Can you tell the difference? The difference between copper and bronze.

Each metal has its own characteristics and properties! Let's understand the differences correctly.

Copper is commonly used in everyday cooking utensils and electronic device components, making it a relatively familiar metal. However, most people may not fully understand the exact scope of the metal known as "copper." This is because some may not recognize the difference between "copper" and "bronze," leading to confusion. For example, "Bronze" is the English translation of bronze, but many people might think that bronze equals copper. In this blog, we will introduce the differences between copper and bronze and explain the characteristics of each. [Contents] ■ The English word for copper is "Copper," not "Bronze" ■ Characteristics of copper and bronze - Characteristics of copper - Characteristics of bronze: tin bronze, zinc bronze, aluminum bronze ■ Which has higher value, copper or bronze? ■ Why is a bronze medal called bronze? ■ Summary *You can view the detailed content of the blog through the related links. Q&A about Copper: Corrosion Resistance and Durability

Introducing a Q&A on corrosion resistance against copper corrosion substances, potential corrosion, and ant nest-like corrosion!

The Japan Copper Center's website features a Q&A section regarding "corrosion resistance and durability" of copper. It introduces topics such as "the corrosion resistance of brass (C3604B) to CO, CO2, NOx, and C3H8," and "the extent of galvanic corrosion that occurs when dissimilar metals are in close proximity." Additionally, it provides answers on topics like "the potential for corrosion due to the potential difference between copper and stainless steel" and "measures to prevent pitting corrosion in heat exchangers." [Excerpt of Q&A] ■ Is there a list of corrosion resistance substances for copper? ■ Does galvanic corrosion occur if the same copper alloy is made using different methods? ■ Is copper piping unsuitable for water that generally contains high levels of sulfate ions and chloride ions? ■ Is there a possibility of corrosion due to the potential difference between copper and stainless steel? ■ What is the expected lifespan of copper pipes used in water supply lines? *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Black Silicon Carbide Briquette

Black Silicon Carbide Briquette/SiC Briquette

Silicon carbide briquettes are produced for using in cupola melted gray and ductile base iron for the purpose of introducing silicon and carbon to the iron. The advantage silicon carbide holds over ferrosilicon products is the addition of a carbon component which may provide carbon units to the iron and/or reduce cupola coke requirements. The reduction in coke may in turn lead to increased melt rate.
