[Case Study] Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation
Introducing examples of the application of general-purpose thermal fluid analysis programs in the field of chemical reactions!
This time, we will introduce our company's CFD application examples in the fields of two-phase flow and chemical reactions. At Mitsubishi Chemical, analyses are being conducted with the main theme of "stirring tanks." While chemical reaction analysis is also being performed, there was the issue of needing to derive the reaction rate parameters ourselves. We actually conducted experiments by mixing in beakers, and the results obtained from analyzing that data were incorporated using the user subroutine of our general-purpose thermal fluid analysis program "STAR-CD." 【Case Study】 ■ Software Used: STAR-CD ■ Analysis Theme: Stirring Tank ■ Challenge: Need to derive reaction rate parameters ourselves ■ Method: Incorporate results obtained through analysis processing using STAR-CD's user subroutine ■ Aspects Liked About the Use: - Ability to freely handle nodes to create shapes - Very easy to make corrections when mesh quality is poor - User subroutines are easy to use *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us.
