DSR Shell Chair FRP Resin [Matte White]

Reproduced furniture focused on the quality and price of E-comfort.

The Shell Chair is one of the works submitted to the "Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition," co-hosted by a furniture nonprofit organization as part of MoMA's efforts to differentiate itself from other museums by collecting modern design products in 1948, and it impressively won second place. At that time, Charles Eames was striving to realize a new era of design that could be mass-produced using molded plywood, but the production using molded plywood proved to be extremely difficult. Eames did not give up on commercialization and successfully brought the chair to market using FRP, which was a new material at the time. The chair, produced by layering fiberglass wool with adhesive using a mold and finally shaping the exterior, was released as an innovative mass-produced item. The E-comfort Shell Chair is available in six colors for the seat: black, white, gray, red, pale blue, and pale green, and you can choose between wood legs and a rod base. This is the side shell chair using the rod base. *The product is a reproduction imported and sold by E-comfort.

[Kibbs Case] Gear for Reduced Metal Wear

A kibbs composed of UHMWPE and over 50% lubricant! It provides better sliding properties on contact surfaces. *Exhibited at the trade show.

We would like to introduce a case where a major robot manufacturer adopted our product for mass production. They faced the challenge of wanting to apply lubricating components to the teeth of gears to reduce metal wear, and they were testing with polyacetal (POM) and oil-containing resins. However, the results were not very effective, leading them to request our assistance. After several changes to the oil-containing components and shapes, and through trial and error, we successfully created gears using Kibbs. 【Case Overview】 ■ Major Robot Manufacturer ■ Challenge: To apply lubricating components to the teeth of gears to reduce metal wear ■ Result of trial and error: Gears made with Kibbs - The adopted robot operates for several years without maintenance - The shaft center has a mechanism that allows lubricating oil to seep out from the inside *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *We will be exhibiting the actual video at Intermold 2022 (April 20-23). Please stop by; we will provide an explanation. Booth number 5-311-33

Metallic electromagnetic wave permeable resin

Despite being metallic, it transmits radio waves! Development of new materials for millimeter-wave technology.

"Metallic Electromagnetic Wave-Transmitting Resin" is a material that allows radio waves to pass through while maintaining a metallic design aesthetic. By using PSQ, which has a heat-resistant and weather-resistant molecular structure similar to glass, transparency is also achieved. Co-polymerization of PSQ with organic monomers forms a solvent-free curing resin, enabling the creation of glass-like designs with excellent aesthetic qualities. [Features] - Metallic design (design enhancement) - Allows electromagnetic waves to pass through as it does not contain metals - Adding fillers to PSQ-based resin achieves a metallic feel while being lightweight (contains no metallic elements) - Low dielectric properties: due to the cage-like structure of PSQ, it has a porous structure *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Technical Data Presentation in Progress!] Reaction Force of Rubber-like Resin

<For customers in the Tokai area> A prototype 3D printer that simulates the rebound of rubber is now available!

Our 3D printer can create objects using rubber-like resin. Since it is a rubber-like "resin," it has elasticity, but its physical properties differ from those of conventional "rubber," resulting in a weaker rebound when compressed and a feeling of being squished. Even with the same hardness, there may be differences in rebound, so if you want to evaluate rebound in a prototype, careful selection of rubber-like resin materials is necessary. A must-see for customers in the Tokai area, especially in Shizuoka, Aichi, and Yamanashi prefectures! Feel free to contact us, even if it's just for an initial consultation.

Basic Knowledge of Thermal Conductivity Thermal Conductivity Table Rigid Polyurethane, etc.

We will introduce the basic knowledge of thermal conductivity, starting with the characteristics of our materials!

Thermal conductivity refers to the measure of how easily heat is conducted. High thermal conductivity → Heat is easily transmitted Low thermal conductivity → Heat is not easily transmitted Liquids conduct heat better than gases, and solids conduct heat better than liquids, with thermal conductivity increasing in the order of "gas < liquid < solid." Metals have high thermal conductivity, while materials like polyurethane foam have low thermal conductivity, which is even lower than that of air. [Features of Our Materials] ■ Uses high-performance polyurethane (cyclopentane material) with excellent insulation and environmental properties ■ Thermal conductivity: 0.021 W/mk (initial value) ■ Approximately 30% higher performance compared to typical expanded PS (0.034 W/mk) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
