PLA (polylactic acid) based coating materials

Introducing a coating material made from 100% natural biomass biodegradable resin!

The product is a PLA-based coating material that uses non-toxic, relatively easy-to-handle organic solvents. In recent years, the issue of environmental destruction caused by plastic waste has become increasingly serious, with the problem of microplastics in the oceans reaching a catastrophic level that is destroying ecosystems globally. It is also said that nanoplastics are entering the human body. In response to such issues, biodegradable plastics and biodegradable resin materials are one way to mitigate plastic pollution. PLA is a representative biodegradable plastic, but PLA is a thermoplastic resin, and there are not many PLA materials that can be easily applied. However, by using PLA with optimized synthesis conditions, it can dissolve in non-toxic, easy-to-handle solvents, resulting in a 100% natural biomass biodegradable coating material like the one described in this invention. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

100% natural biomass-based thermoplastic biodegradable material

Made from wood (plants) and stone itself! Introducing a thermoplastic material made from 100% natural ingredients!

We have developed a thermoplastic material from wood itself using deep eutectic solvents synthesized by our company, particularly 100% natural composition deep eutectic solvents. Wood and plants are mainly composed of three components: cellulose, lignin, and hemicellulose. By using deep eutectic solvents and additives, we have transformed them into thermoplastic materials. We have processed them into a state that can be manufactured using a twin-screw extruder, enabling mass production. Using a similar method, we can utilize various natural organic resources on Earth, including waste wood, plants, seaweed, waste paper, and pulp, as raw materials. 【Features】 ■ Capable of being manufactured with a twin-screw extruder ■ Mass production is possible ■ Other components, including natural deep eutectic solvents and additives, are environmentally friendly ■ No petroleum-derived materials are used at all ■ Made from 100% natural ingredients *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Data] Modification of the tensile properties of YS resin polyolefin.

When applied to polymer materials, it is possible to moderately adjust the tensile properties!

This document presents the results of an investigation into the changes in the SS curve when various "YS resins (terpene-based resins)" are blended with PP. As an evaluation method, the product was melt-mixed with PP using a twin-screw extruder to create pellets. These pellets were then injection molded into test specimens according to ASTM standards, and tensile tests were conducted. We are introducing figures of the SS curves for the clear resin composition, terpene phenol resin, and YS resin composition. Please take a look. 【Contents (partial)】 ■ Evaluation method ■ Evaluation samples ■ Melt mixing conditions ■ Creation of test specimens ■ Tensile tests ■ Results *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

What is biomass plastic that you should know? What are its characteristics?

A detailed explanation of the characteristics of biomass plastic that combines wood powder and plastic!

Are you aware that attention is being drawn to new materials that improve environmental issues? Recently, a completely new plastic material has been developed by combining wood-based materials and plastics, which compensates for the shortcomings of each. 【What is the compatibility of wood powder and plastic?】 When wood powder and plastic are combined, their compatibility can be considered favorable. One of the advantages is that it allows for the use of materials that would otherwise be discarded, thus harmonizing with the environment. The composite material made by combining wood powder and plastic is called Wood Plastic Composite (WPC). WPC is mainly used in automotive interiors, construction materials, and home appliances, and it can be recycled by crushing and melting it back into pellets at the time of disposal. 【Benefits of WPC】 The benefits of biomass plastic using wood powder, which is different from conventional marine plastics, include the following: ■ It is more resistant to dirt compared to wood, has a smooth surface, and experiences less degradation from mold and corrosion... For more details, please read the continuation at the URL below or contact us. If you are considering the production of wood powder bioplastics, please consult ELEMUS.

Explaining efforts to address environmental issues using wood powder! What are the challenges to widespread adoption?

This explains the efforts to address the environmental issue of "deforestation," one of the problems related to the SDGs, by utilizing wood powder, and introduces the challenges of promoting this initiative.

The SDGs were formulated with the aim of achieving a sustainable society, and currently, countries around the world are working on various issues such as the environment and poverty, aiming for solutions by 2030. **[Efforts to Address Environmental Issues Using Wood Powder]** One application of biomass fuel and materials utilizing thinned wood is the attempt to reuse wood that has been processed into wood powder. For example, biomass plastic that combines wood powder and resin (plastic) is expected to help suppress the rise in carbon dioxide levels, thus offering potential for carbon neutrality, making it a promising solution for environmental issues. *Carbon Neutrality: An initiative to balance the total emissions and absorption of greenhouse gases on Earth to zero.* **[Challenges of Wood Powder Biomass Plastic]** There are several challenges associated with biomass plastic made from wood powder. High market prices While there are many advantages compared to conventional plastics, wood powder biomass plastic tends to have a higher market price... For more information, please read the continuation at the URL below or contact us. If you are considering wood powder processing as a recycling option for thinned wood, please reach out to ELEMUS.
