Dry lubricating film DLC/NEO-C coating

Using the plasma CVD method, we can coat complex-shaped products and inner diameters with DLC-Si films that have excellent adhesion.

The "Plasma CVD NEO-C Coating" utilizes low fence plasma obtained in a vacuum to coat various products with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) films that have excellent tribological properties and high adhesion. The treated products achieve a high-performance surface with a high hardness of around 2000Hv and excellent smoothness with a low friction coefficient. Additionally, the previously weak adhesion of DLC has been significantly improved, making it easier to process complex shapes, uneven surfaces of molds, and inner diameters of mechanical parts. It is effective in preventing adhesion of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper, significantly improving the maintainability of non-ferrous metal press molds and sliding mechanical parts, while also enhancing durability. Furthermore, due to the reduction in friction resistance and improvement in anti-seizing properties, it can reduce the amount of lubricants and release agents used during processing, making it a surface modification technology that is also environmentally friendly.

DLC coating

Coatings that support manufacturing! They are used in a wide range of industries.

"DLC" stands for "Diamond Like Carbon," which is a surface treatment technology that involves coating a thin film primarily composed of carbon onto surfaces such as metals. It is widely adopted across various industries as a coating that supports manufacturing, including cutting tools, molds, automotive parts, machine components, and medical parts. DLC, which features a mixture of structures like diamond and graphite, is harder and has better lubricity compared to common ceramic coatings such as titanium-based or chromium-based coatings, and it excels in properties like "wear resistance" and "adhesion resistance to non-ferrous metals." 【Features】 ■ Film thickness of a few microns ■ Available in a range of hardness (1000–7000 Hv) ■ Excellent lubricity *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Proposal for DLC coating to improve the performance of various rolls for coating applications.

DLC coating can be applied to the roll of the coating line. It is possible to add various functions such as wear resistance, reduced friction coefficient, and static electricity prevention performance.

As a solution to various challenges in coating/applying, how about DLC coating for coating/application bars, gravure rolls, blades, and film transport guide rolls? **Features and Benefits of DLC Coating** - Capable of processing long items, with a maximum diameter of Φ300 mm and a maximum length of 3000 mm. - Surface hardness of HV1500 to 2000, excellent wear resistance for extended lifespan. - Low friction coefficient of 0.2 or less, suppressing the occurrence of substrate scratches and improving cleanability. - Can also add an anti-static function to prevent static electricity buildup. - Capable of altering surface energy (contact angle of pure water ranges from 20° to 80°). - High oxidation initiation temperature and excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for use in acidic environments. **Also for Rubber Rolls!** DLC treatment is also possible for rubber rolls. However, please note that the color will be black; if black is not acceptable, we can also recommend a special treatment that does not change the color. Feel free to contact us.

Coating device for powder metallurgy forming release DLC coating

A new functional coating that achieves high durability ICF deposition using a special ion source, which does not peel off even when used under high surface pressure, resulting in extended lifespan!

The release coating for powder compaction molding is a new functional coating that does not peel off even under high surface pressure, achieving a longer lifespan compared to conventional DLC films that would peel off under high surface pressure. It prevents powder adhesion to the upper and lower punches during powder compaction processing and maintains a mirror-like finish. This coating has a low friction coefficient under high surface pressure, preventing the powder containing binders from adhering to the punches. Even under high loads, it is difficult to peel off, exhibiting excellent durability and wear resistance, as well as high adhesion and stable performance. PVD・DLC Coating

Starting with applications in cutting tools, it has been widely expanded to molds, automotive components, food, medical devices, and more.

This is an introduction to the PVD and DLC coating conducted by our company. PVD treatment can be broadly classified into vacuum deposition, sputtering, and ion plating. Among these, ion plating, proposed in 1964 as a method for generating ceramic thin films, has undergone many improvements by numerous researchers and has been put into practical use. Ceramic thin films possess wear resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance that are not found in metal materials, making it easier to obtain new functions by coating them onto metal materials. [Features] - Ion plating has been improved and put into practical use by many researchers. - Ceramic thin films have wear resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance that are not found in metal materials. - It is easy to obtain new functions by coating them onto metal materials. - Widely applied in molds, automotive components, food and medical devices, etc. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
