Celtis DLC Coating [Superior adhesion and wear resistance compared to conventional methods!]

A new composite multilayer DLC coating with superior adhesion and wear resistance has arrived! It enhances the lifespan of sliding components, precision molds, and tools!

The Celtes DLC is a next-generation composite multilayer DLC coating produced by a hybrid process of Plasma Booster Sputtering (PBS) and Plasma CVD. By adopting a new plasma source, it can be deposited at lower temperatures (below 180°C) than before, significantly improving the durability of molds and parts compared to conventional DLC. With a high adhesion 3-5 micron DLC coating, it can also be applied to tool steel molds and SUJ/SCM steel parts that have previously been unsuitable due to insufficient adhesion at high surface pressures. 【Features】 - In the Fabry (Falex) seizure test, it achieved a seizure load limit of up to 2000 kgf under non-lubricated conditions and over 2500 kgf under lubricated conditions. - Compared to other companies' composite multilayer DLCs, the damage to the coating after the Fabry test is minimal, and it does not peel off even when the base material becomes red-hot and undergoes plastic flow. *For more details, please request documentation or view the PDF data available for download.

DLC coating for semiconductor forming molds

It is a DLC coating using a hybrid process of PVD and plasma CVD.

The semiconductor forming die's Celtes DLC coating is a new DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating produced by a hybrid process of PVD and plasma CVD. By adopting a composite multilayer film, it demonstrates superior adhesion compared to conventional DLC and allows for thick films (up to 5μm), resulting in exceptional durability. Additionally, it can withstand high surface pressures due to the use of a substrate reinforcement layer, not only on cemented carbide but also on tool steel. The DLC coating has a very smooth and hard surface with a low friction coefficient, preventing adhesion of soft metals such as solder plating and aluminum. This significantly reduces defects caused by solder debris adhering to the mold and dramatically improves productivity by decreasing cleaning frequency. For more details, please download the catalog.

DLC Coating "Certes DCY"

A new coating joins the lineup! Improved load-bearing capacity and impact resistance of DLC coating!

"Celtes DCY" is a new coating that helps improve load-bearing capacity and impact resistance of DLC coatings. It has high adhesion strength due to low-temperature processing, and the adoption of a new plasma source allows for low-temperature processing below 180°C. The load-bearing capacity and impact resistance are enhanced with a Cr-based underlayer that has strong adhesion to steel and a tough buffer layer, preventing delamination even under high surface pressure and repeated impacts. Additionally, the "Celtes DLC Coating" offers a wide range of options, allowing for adjustments to coating properties and thickness based on application and usage conditions. [Features] ■ High adhesion strength with low-temperature processing ■ High load-bearing capacity with a multilayer structure ■ Extensive lineup *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

DLC Coating, DLC System “Low temperature deposition” “Hard to peel off”

The plasma ion implantation method enables diamond-hard, low-friction, high-cohesion coatings on various shapes and sizes of metals, resins, and rubber materials.

DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating deposits a low-friction DLC film using plasma ion implantation coating method. 【Features】 ■Capable of handling work with complicated shapes ・By using the work itself as a source of plasma, plasma is formed along the shape of the work and allows gas to flow around and deposit a film on complicated shapes and interiors. ■Excellent lubricity ・Excellent lubricity due to the formation of low coefficient of friction film ■Can deposit on resin and rubber as well as metal and aluminum. ・Low-temperature deposition is possible. ■Can deposit with the flexibility to follow the shape of the base material (even resin is resistant to film peeling). *Please contact us if you have any problems with life reduction due to friction of parts. *We can provide technical explanations and trial production. *We also sell DLC deposition system. * For more details, please contact us or download our catalog for more information.

Stretchable DLC coating process on rubber and resin.

Stretchable DLC coating that can be processed onto rubber and resin.

Traditionally, DLC (diamond-like carbon) has been difficult to process onto polymer materials due to its hardness, brittleness, and the heat resistance of the substrate. Our company offers a DLC coating that can be processed onto polymer materials using a low-temperature process.

Super DLC Coating Beyond DLC【Patent Technology】

We provide super DLC (hydrogen-free ta-C film), Micc film, and various metal films using the FCVA method.

FCVA (Filtered Cathodic Vacuum Arc) provides high-quality coatings that are on a different level compared to existing methods such as PVD and CVD. Additionally, since no heating is required during the film formation process, deformation of the substrate does not occur, allowing for coatings on resin components as well. In particular, DLC films (ta-C) have the following characteristics: 1) Extremely close to diamond (high sp3 bonding) 2) Very high hardness, adhesion, and wear resistance 3) Hydrogen-free 4) Film thickness: from a few nm to 10 nm 5) Can be deposited on inner diameters These features make it suitable for various fields such as hard disks, precision molds, and wear-resistant parts. *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.*

Hydrogen-free DLC coating [Sales of film deposition equipment and contract film deposition]

Technical data provided: Achieving high hardness, high adhesion, and excellent wear resistance with room temperature film formation! DLC (TAC) coating is possible for plastics and ceramics.

Hydrogen-free DLC films (ta-C) using the filtered arc method differ from existing PVD and CVD methods by removing impurities through an electromagnetic filter, resulting in fewer particles, excellent adhesion, and high wear resistance. Additionally, since the film is formed at room temperature, it can be applied to low melting point materials such as plastics and rubber, as well as various materials like ceramics. Furthermore, it is possible to create thick films of over 10 micrometers, enhancing the quality and longevity of automotive parts, thereby increasing added value. In addition to DLC films, please also try our composite metal film "MiCC film," which excels in release properties during plastic molding. 【Features】 ■ High hardness film free of particles (droplets) ■ Applicable to various materials including low melting point materials like resins and rubber, as well as ceramics ■ Improved wear resistance for sliding components ■ Capable of creating thick films over 10 micrometers ■ High corrosion resistance against gases such as ozone and NOx *For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.

PIA-DLC Coating

PIA-DLC Coating

By exposing parts to plasma and applying a negative pulse voltage to them, carbon ions can be injected, allowing for uniform coating of high-density thick-film DLC on three-dimensional shaped parts at room temperature. The characteristics of PIA-DLC, such as wear resistance, sliding properties, release properties, corrosion resistance, and gas barrier properties, can also be imparted to non-metal materials like aluminum, rubber, and resin. PIA-DLC coating has gained attention for enabling surface modification at room temperature using quantum beam (ion, electron, light) technology, which was traditionally done at high temperatures. It is now possible to coat non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum and nickel), rubber, and resin with high-density DLC at room temperature, which was previously impossible. As an alternative technology that surpasses the performance of plating, we offer high-functionality, high-adhesion, low-cost DLC at room temperature as a foundational technology for manufacturing. The coating that forms high-hardness nano-diamond crystals (ND-DLC), which is twice as hard as conventional DLC, is also available, and it is possible to create DLC coatings with conductivity, whereas traditional DLC is an insulator.
