Surface treatment technology has improved the lifespan of heating plates for aluminum vapor-deposited films by more than twice.

Solving the heat durability of fluororesin coatings with our unique coating technology! Product materials are currently available.

We would like to introduce a case of non-stick coating for aluminum vapor-deposited film sealing machines. ■Problem You were troubled by the issue of resin that overflowed from the film sticking to the sealer during thermal sealing. ■Background Initially, you were using a PTFE fluoropolymer coating, but the sealer surface was knurled, causing the coating to wear off and adhesion to occur within about two months. This resulted in production losses due to the need to stop the machine and replace the sealer. ■Adopted Treatment FSR Coating (using CHC technology) ■Effect of Surface Treatment The 'HR-1372AP' was adopted, which exhibits non-stick properties equivalent to fluoropolymer coatings at high temperatures above 200°C, and has high thermal hardness, resolving the wear issue. You can now use it for more than twice the previous duration. *For more details on the surface treatment, please refer to the materials or feel free to contact us.

[Surface Treatment Resolution Case] Preventing Stringing in Thermal Welding of Filter Cases

Achieving both high-temperature release and long lifespan with thermal fusion type! Reducing thread pulling and ensuring long lifespan with heat-resistant fluorine coating!

■Consultation This was a consultation regarding the process of thermally welding filter cases to products. We create products by thermally welding polypropylene containers and lids, but PP resin tends to cause stringing and adhesion to the heating plates, which negatively impacts the product's airtightness, aesthetics, and production efficiency. Therefore, it was necessary for the thermal welding plates to have release properties, heat resistance, and durability. ■Background for Coating Selection We proposed fluororesin coatings and reduced contact area fluorine coatings during prototyping. Since the operating pressure is relatively low, the release properties improved, making stringing and adhesion less likely, allowing for relatively long service life. ■History and Effects of Coating To achieve even longer service life, we proposed "CHC-1311," which balances heat hardness and reduced contact area. After practical testing, it was adopted, resulting in reduced metal exposure due to wear, allowing for extended use. If you are having trouble with thermal welding jigs, please consult Yoshida SKT.

[Case Study] Coating to Improve Release Properties of Film Welding Heat Plates

[Food Industry] Improved non-stick properties of welded plates with reduced contact area fluoropolymer coating! Measures to prevent adhesion of films that stick even with fluoropolymer coatings.

We would like to introduce a case where we solved the sticking trouble of the melt film that could not be resolved with fluororesin coating. ■ Background of the Consultation The consultation was regarding a tray sealer that covers plastic trays with film. In the thermal fusion process of sealing film onto plastic containers, the heating plate is heated to over 100°C, causing the surface of the film to melt. Initially, the heating plate was coated with fluororesin to prevent the film from sticking. ■ Background of Coating Selection The material of the film and the temperature at which it melts were causing product defects due to sticking to the heating plate. Additionally, small holes were drilled in the heating plate for vacuuming the film, which limited the options for coating. ■ Coating Adopted "TP Coating" ■ Adoption Background and Effects To accommodate many conditions, we proposed a release-type coating that excels in release properties compared to the current coating and does not hinder vacuuming, while also reducing contact area. The "TP Coating," which has good release properties and does not affect vacuuming, was adopted. *For more details, please refer to the materials or contact us directly.

Introduction of the development product: Thin film fluororesin coating 10under.

This is a groundbreaking fluororesin coating that has made it possible to process thin films with a thickness of 10 μm, which was previously considered difficult to process.

■Development Background of Thin Film Fluororesin Coating "10under" Fluororesin coatings are sometimes requested to be processed in thin films of around 10μm when dimensional stability of the substrate is a priority. However, in the case of standard fluororesin coatings, a thickness of at least 20-50μm has been required to maintain good appearance and performance. Even so, when requests for thin film processing arise, we sometimes propose a "modified type" of fluororesin coating with a different coating structure. However, there were challenges with the modified type not being able to deliver the necessary functions. Yoshida SKT has worked on development to solve these challenges, resulting in the creation of the "Thin Film Fluororesin Coating '10under.'" ■Features of 10under - Non-stick properties equivalent to standard fluororesin coatings - Capable of processing thin films of around 10μm, reducing dimensional changes - While being a thin film, it suppresses transparency *For more details, please download the materials or contact us.*

Fluororesin coating that can minimize warping of thin plates.

Yoshida SKT's developed product "10UNDER" is a groundbreaking fluororesin coating that minimizes substrate deformation and enables processing at a film thickness of 10μm.

■What is the Thin Film Fluoropolymer Coating "10under"? Fluoropolymer coatings may be requested in a thin film form when dimensional stability of the substrate is a priority. In the case of standard fluoropolymer coatings, a thickness of at least 20-50μm has been required to maintain appearance and performance. Yoshida SKT has worked on development to meet these requests and has announced the "Thin Film Fluoropolymer Coating '10under'." ■Features of 10under - Non-stick properties equivalent to standard fluoropolymer coatings - Capable of thin film processing of approximately 10μm, reducing dimensional changes - Suppresses transparency despite being a thin film *For more details, please download the materials or contact us.*

[Semiconductor Industry Case] Anti-Crawling Technology for Resist Liquid 'Nano Process'

We will introduce a coating example that can prevent the rise of resist liquid on the suction transport fixture.

We would like to introduce a case of surface treatment for device components that apply resist liquid to precision substrates. ■Consultation In the process of applying resist liquid to a thin film-like substrate, there was a consultation regarding the resist liquid adhering to the suction fixture during the application process to the precision substrate. ■Concern In the process of applying resist liquid to a thin film-like substrate, a problem arose where the resist liquid adhered to the suction fixture, causing it to stick to the next substrate being transported. The adhesion of resist liquid to the substrate leads to product defects, necessitating an increase in the cleaning frequency of the transport fixture, which hindered productivity. ■Request To solve the problem, we initially tried prototyping with Teflon™ coating, but the slight surface irregularities of the coating transferred as patterns onto the thin substrate, resulting in product defects. A surface treatment that balances precision and prevents the adhesion of resist liquid was necessary for problem resolution. 【Issues to be resolved】 - Adhesion of resist liquid - Cleaning time - Variability in coating thickness ■Adopted Coating 'NanoProcess® TC-10' *For detailed solutions, please download the PDF or contact us.

Explanation of fluororesin, a plastic material with excellent heat resistance.

Fluororesin is a plastic material that can be continuously used at temperatures of 260°C. I will explain the reason for this heat resistance.

■Reasons why fluoropolymer (PTFE) excels in heat resistance and cold resistance The molecular structure of PTFE is such that fluorine atoms (F) surround the C-C bonds without any gaps. The breaking of C-C bonds and C-F bonds at high temperatures is one aspect of "PTFE degradation." The C-C bonds are less likely to break because they are protected by the surrounding fluorine atoms (F). The bond strength of C-F bonds within PTFE molecules is significantly greater than that of other atomic bonds. Additionally, the high bond energy of C-F bonds is another reason for its excellent heat and cold resistance. ■Applications utilizing the heat and cold resistance of fluoropolymers In the case of fluoropolymer coatings, for example, baking molds utilize the non-stick properties provided by the coating to prevent baked goods from sticking to the mold. Furthermore, since it also possesses heat resistance, it can be safely used in applications where it is baked in an oven. Additionally, in household irons, the heat plate is coated with fluoropolymer to take advantage of its smoothness and heat-resistant properties. Explaining the features, advantages, and disadvantages of PFA lining.

PFA lining is a lining method that uses PFA, a fluororesin developed to improve the processability of PTFE, at equivalent continuous use temperatures.

PFA lining offers a variety of construction methods compared to PTFE lining and is characterized by its ability to be processed into various substrate shapes. ■Advantages of PFA Lining PFA lining can be processed mainly through three methods: "sheet lining," "electrostatic coating (baked coating)," and "rotational molding (rotolining)." Therefore, it is possible to create linings that accommodate various substrate shapes. ■Disadvantages of PFA Lining In some usage conditions, the lifespan may be shorter compared to PTFE sheet lining. It is necessary to choose carefully, taking into account temperature conditions, pressure conditions, and the type and concentration of the contact chemicals. Please refer to the materials for the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of each processing method. *If you have any questions about fluoropolymer lining, please feel free to contact us.
