Fluororesin coating that can minimize warping of thin plates.

Yoshida SKT's developed product "10UNDER" is a groundbreaking fluororesin coating that minimizes substrate deformation and enables processing at a film thickness of 10μm.

■What is the Thin Film Fluoropolymer Coating "10under"? Fluoropolymer coatings may be requested in a thin film form when dimensional stability of the substrate is a priority. In the case of standard fluoropolymer coatings, a thickness of at least 20-50μm has been required to maintain appearance and performance. Yoshida SKT has worked on development to meet these requests and has announced the "Thin Film Fluoropolymer Coating '10under'." ■Features of 10under - Non-stick properties equivalent to standard fluoropolymer coatings - Capable of thin film processing of approximately 10μm, reducing dimensional changes - Suppresses transparency despite being a thin film *For more details, please download the materials or contact us.*

[Semiconductor Industry Case] Anti-Crawling Technology for Resist Liquid 'Nano Process'

We will introduce a coating example that can prevent the rise of resist liquid on the suction transport fixture.

We would like to introduce a case of surface treatment for device components that apply resist liquid to precision substrates. ■Consultation In the process of applying resist liquid to a thin film-like substrate, there was a consultation regarding the resist liquid adhering to the suction fixture during the application process to the precision substrate. ■Concern In the process of applying resist liquid to a thin film-like substrate, a problem arose where the resist liquid adhered to the suction fixture, causing it to stick to the next substrate being transported. The adhesion of resist liquid to the substrate leads to product defects, necessitating an increase in the cleaning frequency of the transport fixture, which hindered productivity. ■Request To solve the problem, we initially tried prototyping with Teflon™ coating, but the slight surface irregularities of the coating transferred as patterns onto the thin substrate, resulting in product defects. A surface treatment that balances precision and prevents the adhesion of resist liquid was necessary for problem resolution. 【Issues to be resolved】 - Adhesion of resist liquid - Cleaning time - Variability in coating thickness ■Adopted Coating 'NanoProcess® TC-10' *For detailed solutions, please download the PDF or contact us.

Explanation of fluororesin, a plastic material with excellent heat resistance.

Fluororesin is a plastic material that can be continuously used at temperatures of 260°C. I will explain the reason for this heat resistance.

■Reasons why fluoropolymer (PTFE) excels in heat resistance and cold resistance The molecular structure of PTFE is such that fluorine atoms (F) surround the C-C bonds without any gaps. The breaking of C-C bonds and C-F bonds at high temperatures is one aspect of "PTFE degradation." The C-C bonds are less likely to break because they are protected by the surrounding fluorine atoms (F). The bond strength of C-F bonds within PTFE molecules is significantly greater than that of other atomic bonds. Additionally, the high bond energy of C-F bonds is another reason for its excellent heat and cold resistance. ■Applications utilizing the heat and cold resistance of fluoropolymers In the case of fluoropolymer coatings, for example, baking molds utilize the non-stick properties provided by the coating to prevent baked goods from sticking to the mold. Furthermore, since it also possesses heat resistance, it can be safely used in applications where it is baked in an oven. Additionally, in household irons, the heat plate is coated with fluoropolymer to take advantage of its smoothness and heat-resistant properties. [Case Study Presentation] For improving on-site operational efficiency! Methods for preventing transportation equipment troubles.

Line stoppages worsen operational efficiency. Improving transportation equipment leads to increased operational efficiency.

Yoshida SKT's unique convex coating, which excels in "anti-adhesion and slip resistance," will improve your transportation processes and contribute to operational efficiency. OLD NORMAL - Current Production Site - - It's just how things are - It works without issues - Someone can handle it each time This common sense has taken root and is often overlooked. If we don't change this situation to a "New Normal," improving operations will be difficult! NEW NORMAL - Correct Approach - - Prepare and consider measures before problems arise - Promote labor-saving, cleanliness, and automation through robotics - Reduce indirect work and allow workers to focus on their core tasks Yoshida SKT's convex coating will assist in transitioning to the New Normal in transportation! [We are offering a collection of improvement case studies through coating as a gift] If you are interested, please request a "trial set" through the related link!

Introduction to Thin Film Fluorine Coating 10under

This is a groundbreaking fluorine coating that has made it possible to process thin films with a thickness of 10μm, which was previously considered difficult to process.

■10under Development Background Fluororesin coatings are sometimes requested for processing in thin films of around 10μm, especially when dimensional stability of the substrate is a priority. However, in the case of standard fluororesin coatings, a thickness of at least 20-50μm is required to maintain good appearance and performance. Even so, when requests for thin film processing arise, we sometimes propose a "modified type" of fluororesin coating that alters the coating structure. However, there were challenges with the modified type not being able to deliver the required functions. Yoshida SKT has worked on developing a solution to these challenges, resulting in the creation of “10under.” ■Features of 10under - Non-stick properties equivalent to standard fluororesin coatings - Capable of processing thin films of around 10μm, reducing dimensional changes - While being a thin film, it suppresses transparency *For more details, please download the materials or contact us.*

Fluororesin Coating 'HBA-838'

Explanation of Yoshida SKT's fluororesin coating 'HBA-838'.

There are various types of resin for fluoropolymer coatings, depending on the application environment. At Yoshida SKT, we specify materials and processing based on the product number. 'HBA-838' is a type of PFA coating. By processing it to a thicker film, it results in a coating without pinholes, making it suitable for applications that require corrosion resistance. 【What is PFA (Perfluoroalkoxyalkane Polymer)?】 PFA is an improved resin of PTFE, with the same continuous use temperature of 260°C. Its melting point is around 310°C, and it has a lower thermal melt viscosity than PTFE, allowing for a continuous film with fewer pinholes that could not be achieved with PTFE during coating. As a corrosion-resistant coating, it has the best performance among fluoropolymer coatings. Additionally, PFA can exhibit superior non-stick properties compared to PTFE depending on the substrate, making it widely used for non-stick and release coatings. *For more details, please download the materials or contact us.

Case study on improving mold release for molten metal: Coating that solved polyethylene stringing.

We will introduce a case where surface treatment technology solved the issue of stringing in welding molds.

■Request We want to eliminate stringing that occurs on the heating plate during the thermal welding of polyethylene containers. We aim to reduce product defects caused by stringing without changing the takt time and to decrease the frequency of replacing the heating plate. ■Criteria for Processing Selection As a result of considering cost-effectiveness, we require a lifespan that is twice that of the current coating. ■Achieved Effect By adopting CHC technology for the coating, we have successfully achieved both release effect and longevity. *You can download a PDF summarizing the product information. For more details, please contact us.

Case study of mold release for molten metal: Coating that solved polypropylene stringing.

Reduce thread pulling during thermal welding of PP with surface treatment technology! Achieve long mold life!

■Consultation In our customer's process of thermally welding polypropylene products, issues such as thread pulling and adhesion to the welding mold have arisen. The welding mold required not only release properties but also heat resistance and thermal durability. ■Background and Effects of Surface Treatment Selection Our company considered a hybrid approach of ceramic-based CHC and fluororesin-based low contact area coatings to enhance release effects and prolong the lifespan of mold exchanges. We proposed "CHC-1311," which balances thermal hardness and reduced contact area. Currently, our customers are using it to achieve both release properties and long lifespan. If you are having trouble with the release properties of welding molds, please consult Yoshida SKT.
