Hollow Shaft Rotary Encoder AMT Series

AMT series of robust and high-precision rotary encoders with unique capacitive technology.

Since the release of the first generation in 2006 by CUI Devices, the AMT series has built an excellent track record with high reliability and accuracy. It is more robust than optical encoders, resistant to various harsh conditions such as dust, dirt, and oil, and has far superior resistance to vibration and extreme temperatures. Additionally, it does not use LEDs, resulting in a longer lifespan, smaller size, and lower current consumption (6-18mA). It is robust like magnetic encoders, unaffected by magnetic interference or EMC noise, while achieving higher precision and resolution. Moreover, due to its digital nature, users can flexibly change the encoder's resolution. In capacitive encoders, the resolution can be set programmatically, which not only helps optimize the system when designing PID control loops but also allows one model to be used across multiple applications, reducing inventory holding. For BLDC motors, it enables the digital setting of index pulses and alignment, and the diagnostic features included in CUI's GUI software allow users to quickly troubleshoot on-site.
