PVD coating for cold forging and deep hole components 'Deep Hole Type'

It improves the lifespan of deep hole forming molds and deep hole components.

The advantages of PVD coatings that can be processed at temperatures below 500℃ have been maintained, while enabling the formation of ceramic protective films on the inner surfaces of deep holes. It is possible to create hard ceramic protective films (such as TiN, TiAlN, etc.) on the inner surfaces of deep holes, which is difficult with conventional PVD coatings. This is expected to lead to a significant increase in the lifespan of molds formed in deep holes and mechanical parts that slide on the inner surfaces of deep holes. 【Product Lineup】 diXis-TiN, diXis-TiCN, diXis-TiAlN, diXis-CrN, diXis-Acro

Cold Forging Die Example 1

Pioneer of cold forging

The in-house developed unique cold forging molds (carbide molds) have reduced the mold manufacturing period by half, and we are working on creating a responsive system for delivery times and specification changes. Additionally, as part of our environmental initiatives, we have achieved reductions in rare metals such as tungsten through our uniquely developed VA molds, as well as cost reductions and CO2 reductions through the rationalization of processing methods. Furthermore, we are conducting research and development aimed at extending the lifespan of our products.

In cold forging, not only costs are reduced, but also the strength of the gears and the surface quality of the tooth surfaces are improved!

Processing is possible without interrupting the flow! The effective contact area of the gears will increase.

In cold forging, not only the cost but also the strength of the gears and the surface quality of the tooth surfaces are improved. The effective contact area of the gears increases, and even when transmitting the same power, the local stress decreases, making it less likely for tooth surface fatigue to occur, which is expected to result in increased strength. Furthermore, the ability to freely shape the tooth root is also believed to contribute to increased strength. 【Features】 ■ Processing can be done without interrupting the flow ■ Tooth surface fatigue is less likely to occur, leading to increased strength ■ The ability to freely shape the tooth root also contributes to increased strength *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

The benefits of cold forging.

Improved design aesthetics and cost flexibility! No more worries about pressure leaks in hydraulic and pneumatic components, leading to enhanced quality.

Let me introduce the benefits of cold forging. When manufacturing parts through cutting processes, cutting from round bars or plate materials can lead to longer processing times. However, by using cold forging to achieve near-net shapes, it can reduce the cutting processing time. Parts that are work-hardened through cold forging have improved strength and increased reliability. Additionally, we can provide a collection of case studies. 【Benefits】 ■ Improved design aesthetics and cost flexibility ■ Elimination of concerns about pressure leaks in hydraulic and pneumatic components, leading to improved quality ■ Cold-forged aluminum parts can also enable brazing, which is difficult with aluminum die-cast parts ■ Parts that are work-hardened through cold forging have increased strength and improved reliability *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

What is cold forging? Please consult us for projects from prototyping to mass production!

For low-cost mass production! It is a processing method with a beautiful surface finish and high dimensional accuracy.

Forging is a processing method that applies pressure to metal to induce plastic deformation, and "cold forging" refers to forging that is performed at room temperature by applying pressure to metals (such as steel and non-ferrous metals). Our company mainly handles metal materials such as steel, aluminum, and copper. Since forging is done at room temperature, the freedom of processing is not as high as that of hot or warm forging, but it is a method that results in a beautiful surface finish and high dimensional accuracy. As a result, there are many cases where no post-processing is required, or only grinding is sufficient, making it suitable for low-cost mass production. Additionally, due to work hardening, the hardness increases, so cold forging is more suitable when hardness is required. *We also have a track record of reducing work hours by combining with cutting processes. Please feel free to consult us. 【Features】 ■ Beautiful surface finish ■ High dimensional accuracy ■ Often requires no post-processing or only cutting ■ Suitable for low-cost mass production ■ Also suitable when hardness is required *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
