When compared to our 0.5mm pitch floating connector DY series, the board space occupied is reduced by approximately 48% for the plug and about 31% for the receptacle. Despite the 0.4mm pitch, it allows for ±0.4mm movement in the XY direction, which can absorb assembly tolerance deviations in equipment. The mounting method is vertical direct connection. The contact area on the plug side has an arc shape, similar to the DY series, making it difficult to catch foreign objects. The receptacle eliminates terminal exposure on the bottom surface, preventing foreign object intrusion and allowing for pattern wiring at the contact bottom. The effective mating length of the DU series is 1.2mm, ensuring reliability during mating. The contact method is a contact cantilever type. The number of contacts can expand up to 200, compared to a maximum of 140 in the DY series. For 200 contacts, a compact design of 40.36mm in the longitudinal direction and 7.5mm in the width direction is achieved. The stack height is from 7mm. As a dust prevention measure, the receptacle side is equipped with Kapton tape for automatic mounting, sealing the mating port.
