The 89 series is a half-pitch low-profile connector with a follow-type single-point contact concept. It is the smallest low-profile type among half-pitch connectors, equipped with a guide mechanism and capable of SMT compatibility. It has become the de facto standard product for removable applications in laptops. Additionally, the right angle version features a three-row contact tail designed for high-density mounting. Five stack heights are available from 7 to 12 mm, and eight variations of pin counts are offered, ranging from 20 to 120 pins, allowing for a wide range of needs to be met. Of course, three-dimensional connections in horizontal, vertical, and stacked configurations are also possible.
