Laser optics

Laser optics are used in a wide range of laser implementations and applications, including beam steering and material processing. Laser optics provide excellent performance at specific laser wavelengths or wavelength ranges through specific substrates, coatings, or a combination of both. Many laser optics have laser durability characteristics designed for pulsed lasers or CW lasers. Using laser optics with durability characteristics lower than what the laser requires can damage optical components.

Non-axis parabolic mirror (gold-coated)

A lineup of surface roughness of 50Å and 100Å! Non-axis parabolic mirrors with gold coating that achieve high reflectivity from NIR to FIR.

TECHSPEC non-axis parabolic mirrors (gold-coated) are designed to minimize scattering losses in collimation applications. You can choose between gold coatings with or without a protective film, achieving high reflectivity from near-infrared (NIR) to far-infrared (FIR) wavelengths. Two surface roughness options are available, with non-axis angles ranging from 15° to 90°, providing flexibility for system design. They are used in IR systems such as FLIR and FTIR, as well as in IR lasers including quantum cascade lasers (QCL). Additionally, mounting plates are available that allow for posts to be mounted perpendicular to the optical axis of the mirror. ■ Gold coatings for NIR and IR applications (with or without protective film) ■ Surface roughness options of 50Å and 100Å ■ Non-axis angle options of 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90° ■ Non-axis parabolic mirrors with aluminum or silver coatings are also available *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan that features this product from the link below.

Laser line generator lens

All products are sold individually as standard specification items. We offer quick delivery due to complete stock availability.

This is a line generator lens originally designed for He-Ne lasers. Typically, cylindrical lenses (cylinder lenses) or rod lenses are used to form lines of laser light, but the lines formed by these lenses tend to be bright in the center with a thick line width, while the edges of the line become dark and narrow (Gaussian distribution). In high-precision line illumination applications that involve light cutting, the use of lines with a Gaussian distribution is generally not preferred. In the case of this product, due to its special optical shape based on a patented Powell glass design, it forms a non-Gaussian distribution line. When using this product with a 3.5mW output He-Ne laser, a bright line can be seen at a distance of 9 meters under indoor lighting. Optimized for a laser beam diameter of 0.8mm. *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan that features this product from the link below.

Anamorphic prism pair

All products are sold individually as standard specifications. We will supply them with a short delivery time due to complete stock availability.

Anamorphic prisms are used to enlarge the size of a laser beam in one axial direction. They are ideal for expanding only one direction (the short axis direction) of the elliptical beam emitted from a typical laser diode, transforming it into a shape that is nearly circular. Composed of two identical prisms, they can achieve an aspect ratio enlargement from 2:1 to 6:1 by placing the prisms in a specified positional relationship to each other. The anti-reflective coatings applied to the entrance and exit surfaces of the prisms offer two options. The NIR I multi-coating functions over a wide wavelength range of 600 to 1050 nm, providing excellent performance with red semiconductor lasers such as 635 nm and 670 nm. In contrast, the coating for 405 nm uses a V-coating optimized for blue-violet lasers. *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan that features this product from the link below.

Powell Laser Line Generator Lens

A laser line generator lens that converts a laser beam into a uniform laser line light.

Our Powell laser line generator lens, optimized for a 0.8mm diameter laser beam incidence, converts the laser beam into a uniform laser line light. Typically, cylindrical lenses or rod lenses are used for line formation of laser light, but the lines formed by these lenses tend to be bright in the center with a wide line width, while the edges of the line are darker and have a narrow line width (Gaussian distribution). In contrast, the Powell lens creates laser line light with a uniform light energy distribution along the entire length of the line. 【Features】 ■ Ideal for alignment and machine vision applications ■ Available in multiple line emission angles ■ Forms a uniform laser line *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan featuring this product from the link below.
