In the development of industrial equipment, manufacturing devices, and control systems, only the UI/HMI screen design and design aspects can be outsourced. We address challenges faced by development and design departments, such as "We can handle software development in-house, but we can't manage UI design" and "The functions are determined, but we don't know how to organize the screens." Based on existing specifications, screen configurations, and development conditions, we organize the prioritization of information, screen layouts, user flows, buttons and icons, and warning and status displays. We propose UI/HMI designs that facilitate implementation while collaborating with the development team.

We focus on product design that includes enclosures, appearance, and operating components, primarily for industrial equipment and commercial products. While organizing the product's applications, functions, usage environment, and manufacturing conditions, we consider design from both usability and aesthetic quality perspectives. We collaborate with the development and design departments to progress from concept planning to shape, color, material, and configuration of operating components, as well as design considerations for prototyping and commercialization. Rather than merely creating a "box" to house the functions, we propose designs that convey the product's features and the brand's value through its appearance.

We will expand the UI/HMI of industrial equipment and commercial devices for overseas and multilingual specifications. In the multilingualization of operation screens, simply translating and replacing Japanese can lead to issues such as layout distortion due to increased character count, insufficient button width, changes in line breaks, and decreased visibility. At EPICHARIS, we adjust the screen layout, buttons, labels, and warning displays while considering the character count and display characteristics for each language, all while confirming the structure and development conditions of the existing UI. We design a UI/HMI that is easy to expand into multiple languages while maintaining the design rules of the existing UI.

We will improve and reconstruct the operation screens of industrial equipment and business devices that have been in use for many years, while leveraging existing specifications and screen assets. We will address issues with the current UI/HMI such as "the screens look outdated," "the information has increased and become unclear," "only the person in charge can fix it," and "there is not enough budget or development time for a complete overhaul." Instead of rebuilding everything from scratch, we will review the current screen configuration, existing data, and development constraints, and organize and improve within the necessary scope. We will reassess the screen layout, information prioritization, buttons and icons, color schemes, and warning displays, and reconstruct the UI in a way that is easy to implement into the existing system.

We design and create the UI/HMI and operation screens for industrial equipment, commercial devices, and control systems. We handle everything from designing new UIs, improving existing screens, reconstructing old UI assets, supporting multiple languages, to creating UI components for different states. By collaborating with the development and design departments, we organize priorities for information, visibility, usability, prevention of operational errors, and clarity during warnings and abnormal situations, to propose UI/HMI that is suitable for the actual usage environment. We have design experience with highly specialized equipment and systems such as multi-story parking systems, traffic and control systems, inspection devices, medical equipment, and financial terminals.
