【Customer's Concerns】 - There are always defects in the urethane-coated resin parts. - Despite conducting booth cleaning, static electricity measures, and daily spray gun cleaning, the defects do not decrease. - There are particularly many defects after color changes. 【NCC's Proposal】 We propose effective cleaning of paint residues remaining inside the gun using a strong solvent (special) cleaning thinner. 【Implementation Effects and Feedback】 - By using the (special) cleaning thinner for some cleaning tasks, such as weekly thorough cleaning and monthly cap immersion cleaning, paint residues were completely dissolved, significantly reducing the occurrence of defects. - Even with reduced cleaning frequency, high effectiveness was achieved, and work time was shortened. - Compared to cleaning with lacquer thinner, the flow and output of the paint were clearly different.

**Customer's Concerns** - Approximately 30% of defects due to blemishes are occurring in the solvent painting process. - Maintenance of compressors and filters has hardly been performed. - Unsure of how to improve the situation. **NCC's Proposal** We propose the use of the "3in1 Multi-Dry Filter®" manufactured by Maeda Shell Service Co., Ltd., to measure impurities such as oil, moisture, dust, and foreign substances contained in the compressor air, and to reduce defects caused by dust and foreign substances in painting through air purification. **Implementation Effects and Feedback** - The current air contained 1,200 to 1,500 various dust and foreign substances, but after switching to the "3in1 Multi-Dry Filter®," the dust and foreign substances in the compressor air became zero. - The defect rate due to blemishes was reduced from 30% to about 10%.

**Customer Concerns** - Although measures against static electricity are being taken, static electricity remains on resin products, causing defects in the painting process. - Unable to determine why static electricity remains and how much is left, leading to uncertainty about how to address the issue. **NCC's Proposal** - Propose the use of a special toner for visualizing static electricity and a high-density static elimination processing system for reliable removal of static electricity. **Demo Effects and Feedback** - After applying the special toner to the workpiece post-static elimination, static marks indicating residual static electricity were observed on about 30% of the workpiece. - Upon checking after static elimination with the high-density processing system in the same environment, no static marks were found. - Expected to lead to solutions for defects in the painting process.

**Customer's Concerns** - In the painting process of metal workpieces, "roughness" occurs on the back surface of a 1m square plate. - Although it will not be visible after assembly, high painting quality is required, so improvements are desired. **NCC's Proposal** We propose a solvent (thinner) optimization service through analysis, adjusting the drying properties of the thinner to improve the quality of the back surface of the workpiece. **Implementation Effects and Feedback** - The use of a thinner with a 20% blend rate of slow-drying solvent improved the roughness. - The leveling properties of the paint film have improved. - Achieved a smoother and higher quality paint film. - The switch to the new thinner and resolution of the issue was completed in about two weeks after the consultation.
