Pumps installed in analytical devices and laboratory equipment are important components responsible for the precise supply and injection of liquids. However, wear from long-term use, blockages in the piping, and backflow can lead to risks such as flow rate variability, measurement errors, and unexpected device shutdowns. To address these issues, sensing technology that monitors liquid flow in real-time is effective. By utilizing liquid flow sensors, preventive maintenance and condition monitoring can be achieved, including: ■ Detection of pump wear and valve vibrations - High-sensitivity detection of subtle noise and vibrations ■ Detection of backflow - Understanding reverse flow to analyze causes of efficiency decline and malfunctions ■ Early detection of blockages - Capturing flow rate decreases to reduce equipment damage and downtime For such applications, the following liquid flow sensors are recommended: ■ LG16 Series: Suitable for high-precision measurement of micro flow rates, ideal for pump control in analytical devices and laboratory equipment ■ SLF3S Series: Compact and fast-response design for quick detection of signs of wear and blockages For more details on liquid flow sensors and compatible products, please refer to the product page or catalog.

High-quality sleep is essential for maintaining cognitive function and physical recovery. However, in recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to secure restorative sleep, and one of the factors behind this is the growing concern about indoor air quality (IAQ). Recent findings suggest that insufficient ventilation and rising indoor CO₂ levels may impact sleep quality, brain function, and the autonomic nervous system. CO₂ concentration is a representative indicator of indoor ventilation conditions, and monitoring with CO₂ sensors allows for quantitative assessment of invisible environmental factors. <Reasons for the focus on CO₂ monitoring> ■ Stable measurements using proven sensing technology ■ Compatibility with a wide range of applications, including HVAC, smart devices, and healthcare equipment ■ Support for compliance with major indoor environmental standards such as WELL and RESET <Examples of applications> ■ Air conditioning and ventilation systems, indoor air quality (IAQ) monitors ■ Smart home devices and healthcare-related devices CO₂ monitoring contributes to creating a more comfortable and healthy sleep environment by visualizing environmental data and leading to actions such as improving ventilation. For details on the features and specifications of CO₂ sensors, please refer to the catalog.

The new product "SEN62" is an all-in-one air quality sensor module that can simultaneously measure up to six environmental parameters: particulate matter (PM1/PM2.5/PM4/PM10), temperature (T), and humidity (RH). It incorporates the newly developed compact MEMS-based particulate matter sensor SPS6x, achieving both high-precision measurement and a compact form factor. The onboard algorithm eliminates the need for calibration work and complex data processing, significantly simplifying integration into devices. This leads to reduced development costs and shortened time to market. Additionally, it is compatible with RESET(R) and WELL Building Standard(TM), making it a suitable solution for a wide range of applications such as air quality monitoring, air purifiers, HVAC, and smart devices. For detailed specifications, please refer to the related product page.

Sensirion's new product, the SFM3505-300, is a next-generation compact flow sensor developed as a successor to the SFM3119/SFM3100. It adopts our fifth-generation proprietary CMOSens technology, achieving a wide measurement range of -150 to +300 slm and high accuracy (2.3% m.v./1.5% m.v.). By refreshing the architecture, we have significantly reduced noise compared to previous models, enabling more stable flow measurements. It features factory-calibrated I²C digital output for air and oxygen, with excellent temperature compensation and long-term reliability. The optimized flow path, which minimizes pressure loss, makes it ideal for measuring inhalation flow in medical devices such as ventilators, anesthetic machines, and gas mixing devices. For detailed specifications, please refer to the related product page.
