CUI Devices is expanding its product lineup daily to quickly respond to the design requirements of various customers. This time, we have enhanced our speaker lineup with new 32Ω and 16Ω options that are easy to use for headphones, earphones, and headsets. We have announced a refresh of our lineup of AC-DC power supplies ranging from 100W to 350W. Both the VOF series (certified to 62368) and the VMS series (medical certified to 60601) have been updated to include certifications for household appliances (60335) and transformers/power supply devices (61558). Models with metal cases (model number ending in =CNF) are also available, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

This is a new incremental type product with a maximum resolution of 5120 PPR (= 20480 CPR). Since it is capacitive, it does not have a lifespan like that of an LED, and it can operate normally even in dusty environments or in non-conductive liquids.

This is a product group of small slide switches with a minimum size of 10 x 2.5 x 6.4mm, a pitch of 2.54mm, and a rating of 24V, 300mA / 12V, 500mA. They are single pole double throw (SPDT) ON-ON type switches, available in various mounting types, actuator shapes, and installation orientations.

CUI Devices has added a new series to its USB cable assembly line, allowing for options in length (0.5m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m) and color (black, gray, white). In Type A → A and Type A → B, in addition to the conventional USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1 has been added. For Type A → C and Type C → C, a more affordable USB 2.0 model has been introduced.

A new 100W 8-pin type has been added to the lineup of power-only USB Type C connectors, which significantly reduces costs by minimizing data transfer pins. The PSK-S3 and PSK-S5B series of single-output power supplies, available in board mount, chassis mount, lead wire, and DIN rail configurations, are housed in a compact package measuring just 37 x 24.5 x 18 mm (1.46 x 0.97 x 0.71 inches), making them ideal for low-power ITE, industrial control, automation, and home appliance applications where space is limited. The easy-to-install wire lead PSK-S3-L and PSK-S5B-L series, chassis mount PSK-S3-T and PSK-S5B-T series, and DIN rail mount PSK-S3-DIN and PSK-S5B-DIN series provide additional options for engineers to implement simpler designs. They feature 4 kVAC input-to-output isolation, a universal input voltage range of 85-264 VAC, and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C. CUI's USB receptacles feature surface mount and vertical or horizontal mid-mount SMT mount styles, with some models incorporating a design with plastic mount tabs for greater stability on the PCB. These waterproof USB connectors, with a durability of up to 10,000 mating cycles and a temperature range of -40 to 85°C, offer highly reliable solutions for home appliances and portable electronic devices. Additionally, all models are compatible with reflow soldering, adding flexibility to the assembly process. Furthermore, the UJ31-CH-3-MSMT-TR-67 USB Type C connector series, compliant with USB 3.1 Gen 2 standards, supports data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps and power delivery of up to 100W at 20V.

The CUI CMM series, boasting improved audio quality, performance, and high reliability, features a very compact housing with a low-profile footprint of 2.75 x 1.85 x 0.95 mm. This MEMS microphone is compatible with reflow soldering, providing designers with additional flexibility in applications requiring surface mounting. It is ideal for voice recording and voice capture in smartphones, tablets, smart home devices, and wearables. CUI's MEMS microphones are omnidirectional and offer analog or digital pulse density modulation (PDM) output with top or bottom port positions. Each model in the CMM series comes in circular or rectangular form factors, with sensitivity ratings ranging from -44 dB to -26 dB and signal-to-noise ratios from 57 dBA to 65 dBA. This MEMS microphone also provides reduced vibration sensitivity, a low current of at least 80 microamperes (µA), and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C.

CUI's audio group announced today the addition of a waterproof micro speaker model with an IP67 rating for ingress protection (IP) to CUI's product family. The waterproof speaker, housed in a compact package measuring just 15x11mm and only 2.5mm thick, is ideal for handheld electronic devices that are susceptible to the effects of water droplets and environmental contaminants in industrial and outdoor applications. These rectangular frame models provide a sound pressure level (SPL) of 90–93dB at 0.1m, a nominal input of 0.7W, a resonance frequency of 550–800Hz, and an impedance of 6 or 8 ohms. Additionally, all series offer spring contacts, solder pads, and lead wire mounting styles, and are constructed with neodymium magnets and Mylar cones for enhanced durability.

This robust chassis-mounted unit, featuring a low profile of 30mm, power consumption of less than 0.75W under no load, and a built-in cooling fan, is ideal for reducing power consumption in industrial applications.

The NEMA11-AMT112S series, which combines a small NEMA 11 stepper motor with CUI's AMT11 incremental encoder, offers a reliable motor and motion control feedback solution in a convenient single package. This series features a maximum holding torque of 16.6 oz-in (0.12 N-m), a maximum of 4096 PPR incremental solution, and a digitally set zero position. This encoder can be fully programmed in combination with the motor without removing the encoder from the motor via CUI's AMT Viewpoint(TM) software. Additionally, when combined with a controller for a complete servo system, it provides closed-loop feedback.
