Free membership registrationThe heat of summer, the cold of winter, and leaks during the rainy season or typhoons. While I keep thinking that I will fix it someday, the deterioration continues to progress. If the working environment in the factory is poor, the motivation of the employees decreases, and the impact on the products cannot be denied. It may seem like just a roof or wall, but simply renewing these can yield astonishing effects. For example, just by addressing the heat and cold of the roof, there will be changes in the indoor temperature. Therefore, it is also possible to reduce the utility costs associated with air conditioning in the factory. Similarly, by installing solar power on the roof, the factory can become environmentally friendly and undergo a transformation. By improving the working environment, work efficiency can increase remarkably. Renewing the walls can also enhance the company image through changes in appearance. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationEarthquakes are something that cannot be avoided anywhere in Japan in the future. By conducting thorough structural calculations and performing comprehensive seismic diagnostics, investigations, and reinforcements, we can minimize earthquake damage. We cannot predict when or where an earthquake will occur; prompt action will protect "human lives and production lines." There are various methods for seismic reinforcement, such as reinforcing buildings from the inside or using out-frame (external) reinforcement like a cast. Not only buildings, but there are also many items within factories, such as machinery, tanks, and product shelves, that would be problematic if they fell. We will investigate all of these and reinforce them to achieve maximum effectiveness at minimal cost. If you have any concerns or worries about the seismic strength of your building, please feel free to consult us. We will also assist in creating BCP (Business Continuity Plan) measures. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where a plating processing company adopted "seismic renovation." This project involved a unique structure consisting of two two-story buildings connected by a single-story building in between. Therefore, it was necessary to implement not only seismic reinforcement but also waterproofing treatment to the south. As a solution, we newly installed a seismic frame in the original single-story section. By constructing this frame to the same height as the frames of the other existing two-story buildings, we were able to create a unified appearance while simultaneously addressing two issues, resulting in a factory that combines both seismic resistance and waterproofing. [Challenges] ■ It was necessary to implement waterproofing treatment to the south in addition to seismic reinforcement. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Connection Construction Method" involves building a new structure (or an extension) that aligns with the floor level of two existing buildings that are situated apart, thereby integrating (linking) the previously separated buildings. This method allows for the effective use of dead space within the site and enables operations to continue without being affected by the weather when moving between factories. Furthermore, a new flow path is created in what were originally separate buildings, which can lead to improvements in productivity and the smooth operation of production lines. 【Features】 ■ Integration (linking) of previously separated buildings ■ Effective use of dead space within the site ■ Operations can continue without being affected by the weather when moving between factories ■ Potential for improvements in productivity and the smooth operation of production lines *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Separate Construction Method" is a technique that allows for the rebuilding of a facility in phases, without demolishing existing buildings, while maintaining operations throughout the construction period. First, machinery is moved to the second phase side, and construction begins on the first phase side. Once the first phase is completed, the machinery is moved back from the second phase side to the first phase side. After that, the second phase is completed, allowing the factory to operate at full capacity without disruption. This method is recommended for factories that have no space around the existing buildings, and it is also possible to plan production lines across different floors. **Features:** - Construction is done in halves without stopping the factory. - Rebuilding is done in phases without demolishing existing buildings. - The factory can operate at full capacity without disruption. - Recommended for factories with no space around existing buildings. - Planning production lines across different floors is possible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationThe "Cover Build Method" is one of the representative construction methods of Yoshizawa Architectural Structural Design, made possible by precise structural calculations, allowing for "reconstruction while in operation." Machines and equipment within the factory that cannot be moved are left in their original state, and steel frames are assembled to cover the existing factory, with the roof and exterior walls installed first. After ensuring that rain and wind do not enter, the existing buildings within the new structure are gradually dismantled while the reconstruction proceeds. [Features] ■ Made possible by precise structural calculations ■ New buildings are constructed to cover existing ones ■ Machines and equipment within the factory that cannot be moved are left in their original state *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe design of the factory incorporates structural calculations that take into account the weight and number of machines to be installed. Therefore, the increase in load due to the addition or replacement of machines not included in the initial calculations may exceed the building's allowable load. While this does not hinder normal use, the impact and deterioration on the structural framework due to long-term use will certainly accumulate. Furthermore, the load from a major earthquake (the seismic forces acting on the building) will increase in proportion to the amount of equipment added. Our company conducts structural verification related to changes in equipment specifications, and if reinforcement is necessary, we will also propose a plan for that. If the structural calculation documents for the building cannot be found, it is possible to restore the calculation documents from a site survey and then conduct structural verification based on that. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationA domestic massive earthquake that is a concern with a 70% probability of occurring within the next 30 years. Preparing buildings with seismic reinforcement for emergencies is important to protect equipment and invaluable human resources (assets). In particular, buildings constructed before 1981 not only do not meet the new seismic design standards resulting from revisions to the building code, but they may also lack sufficient seismic performance to ensure the safety of human lives. The "Seismic Retrofit Promotion Law" enacted in 1995 clarified the "Is value" that building owners must maintain, and if the Is value is below 0.6, reinforcement work is required. More municipalities are offering subsidies for seismic diagnosis, design, and reinforcement, so please feel free to consult with us first. 【Seismic Diagnosis Workflow】 ■ Initial Sales ■ On-site Inspection ■ Submission of Estimate and Proposal ■ Seismic Diagnosis and Investigation ■ Seismic Reinforcement Design ■ Implementation of Seismic Reinforcement Work *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Kizakura Co., Ltd., which is engaged in sake brewing, we are simultaneously carrying out factory expansion work while "maintaining operations" and conducting seismic retrofitting work on the existing factory. In addition to an attractive factory and exhibition space, we have also established a restaurant where customers can enjoy our products and a souvenir shop. Furthermore, due to the low height of the large roof at the shipping and receiving area for sake and craft beer, there was insufficient space to fully open the wings of wing vehicles. To ensure clearance, we raised the entire structure by 60 cm using jacks. We applied techniques used in relocating shrines, temples, and houses. 【Construction Details】 ■ Rebuilding an aging building while maintaining operations ■ Constructing a new facility where visitors can simultaneously observe sake and craft beer production ■ Jacking up the large roof of the loading area by 60 cm ■ Enabling shipping and receiving with wing vehicles *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Big Roof Construction Method" is a technique for safely extending roofs, such as eaves that protrude from buildings. In this case, the customer wished to extend an existing 10-meter eave by an additional 7 meters while also enclosing the entire loading area indoors to allow work to be conducted without getting wet from the rain. Therefore, we developed a structural plan that incorporated the "Cover Build Method," constructing a new frame that covers both the extension area and the existing loading eave area. This allowed us to expand the loading area while maintaining operations during construction and enclosing it indoors. Considering truck access, we adopted aluminum over-slider shutters for the opening doors. The existing eave was integrated into the new roof, resulting in a spacious indoor loading area with sufficient strength. 【Construction Targets】 ■ There is ample space in front of the building. ■ The existing building has passed the completion inspection. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Lift-Up Method" is a construction technique that raises a building while maintaining its seismic strength without dismantling the existing factory structure. In this project, we received a request to increase the crane lifting height due to the aging of the existing traveling crane. First, we conducted an investigation of the seismic resistance and strength of the existing building to confirm its current seismic resistance and strength. We determined that with reinforcement, it could withstand the elevation. During construction, we connected the columns of the raised portion to the existing column heads to enhance strength, and then, using the cover build method, we installed a new roof and walls before dismantling the existing roof from the inside. As a result, the crane lifting height was increased, contributing to improved work efficiency. 【Construction Targets】 ■ There are documents such as drawings and structural calculation sheets. ■ The foundation of the existing building has sufficient strength. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Connection Construction Method" is a technique for constructing (or expanding) a new building with aligned floor levels between two or more existing buildings that are located apart (in the vacant space of the site), thereby integrating them. In this case, the two factories being renovated were built under old building codes, so we first conducted an investigation and planning of the site and a seismic diagnosis to comply with current building regulations. After implementing seismic reinforcement and compliance work, a new factory was established and integrated between the buildings. As a result, we were able to transform it into a new factory, 56 meters in length, that meets seismic standards and the current building code requirements. 【Target for Construction】 ■ We want to maximize the use of existing buildings. ■ We want to create connections between each building that stands independently on the site. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Separate Construction Method" is a technique that allows for rebuilding without completely demolishing existing buildings. It divides the construction period into two phases, enabling reconstruction while maintaining operations even in densely populated areas where expanding the construction space is not possible. In this construction plan, we received a request to switch from the old large furnace to the new one without stopping the operation, which is the lifeline of the plating factory. Therefore, we installed a new large furnace on the phase one construction side to take over operations from the old furnace. Additionally, to avoid waste during future factory expansions, the building on the phase two construction side is designed to be suspended from the structural framework of the phase one construction side. This also contributes to reducing the factory's life cycle costs. 【Construction Targets】 ■ There is relocation space on adjacent land. ■ There is no room around the existing building. ■ It is possible to plan production lines across different floors. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Cover Build Method" involves assembling a steel frame to cover an existing building, first constructing the roof and exterior walls to prevent rain and wind from entering. After securing the exterior, the interior of the existing building is demolished, and reconstruction takes place. In the case of Hokuriku Light Metals, which engages in metal processing, a partition wall was established to separate the construction area from the factory operation area, and a new building frame larger than the factory was constructed. Subsequently, the roof and exterior walls of the new building were completed, and while protecting the machinery, the existing building was demolished. Additionally, the second-floor slab inside the new building was constructed, allowing operations to continue without relocating the machinery, thus achieving reconstruction through a two-phase construction process. Through the Cover Build Method and floor division construction, it was transformed into a spacious two-story factory. 【Construction Targets】 ■ There are immovable machines ■ There is space around the building ■ The existing building is a single-story structure ■ Switching production operations is relatively easy *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
