【BYK New Product】BYK-092 Features BYK-092 is a highly effective defoamer specifically designed for water-based clear coats and high gloss systems. It also demonstrates excellent performance in matte and colored systems. It has a balanced compatibility between compatible and incompatible components, ensuring that it does not affect transparency or gloss. It is effective with all standard application methods, including roller application, brush application, spraying, and curtain coating. This additive can generally be added at any stage during manufacturing.

Our company handles the liquid defoamer 'BYK-1680'. The generation of bubbles is generally undesirable not only during the manufacturing of paints, printing inks, and plastic materials but also in many processes. BYK-1760 is a newly developed defoamer that enables the rapid and efficient removal of air from the system without altering optical or mechanical properties. This highly effective additive is primarily recommended for solvent-free systems. The epoxy functional groups contained in the additive allow for fixation in the polymer matrix, preventing negative side effects such as increased slip. Furthermore, BYK-1760 is also recommended for plastic applications (such as casting resins) as well as adhesives and sealants. This additive also demonstrates a wide range of properties in these applications.

BYK-092 is a highly effective defoamer specifically designed for water-based clear coats and high-gloss systems. It also exhibits excellent performance in matte and pigment systems. BYK-1789 is a very effective defoamer for water-based paints that is solvent-free. It particularly removes microfoam in thick film systems. BYK-1789 is also effective in fast-drying water-based systems. Additionally, it improves wetting of the paint on the substrate. Therefore, it is especially recommended for DTM (direct-to-metal) coatings. BYK-1789 has been specially developed for use in water-based epoxy systems. This additive has shear stability and is particularly suitable for airless spray painting. At the same time, it shows good compatibility and significant effectiveness in other systems, such as air-drying acrylates. Even after long-term storage of the paint, it retains its properties. With excellent defoaming and wetting properties, it can be considered the first choice for challenging water-based systems.

Defoamers often contain fluorinated silicone to achieve rapid defoaming effects naturally. BYK is expanding its lineup to offer PFAS-free sustainable defoamers as alternatives to fluorinated silicone-based defoamers. BYK-1810, BYK-1811, BYK-1815, BYK-1816, BYK-1818 These five new additives demonstrate high defoaming efficiency and excellent spontaneous defoaming properties comparable to PFAS-containing products, while being completely free of fluorine. BYK-8020: A silicone resin-based foam stabilizer suitable for mechanically foamed PVC plastisol. It stabilizes the foam of mechanically foamed PVC plastisol, characterized by the generation of particularly fine and uniform continuous bubble-type foam structures. As a result, it provides very good resistance to compression testing. When using BYK-8020 compared to soap-based foam stabilizers, the surface achieves a dry (drier) texture, and moisture absorption into the gelled plastisol is reduced. BYK-8070: A soap-based foam stabilizer for mechanically foamed PVC plastisol. It stabilizes the foam of mechanically foamed PVC plastisol, particularly characterized by the generation of fine and uniform continuous bubble-type foam structures. As a result, it provides very good resistance to compression testing.

BYK-1755 - Prevents the generation of bubbles during manufacturing and filling. - Also prevents the incorporation of air bubbles during processing. - Demonstrates a spontaneous defoaming effect and does not reduce the adhesion between coatings during repainting. BYK-1755 is the successor product to BYK-1752.

Features: BYK-1765 is an excellent solvent-free, silicone-free acrylic defoamer designed for high solid content and solvent-free systems, particularly suitable for epoxy systems. This additive is highly effective against macrofoam and microfoam while maintaining good compatibility with the system. In thick film applications, foaming and defoaming pose significant challenges, but BYK-1765 is very effective in solving these problems. The use of this additive does not adversely affect recoatability or intercoat adhesion. Furthermore, it positively influences leveling properties. Additionally, effective defoaming can enhance functionalities such as corrosion resistance in anti-corrosive applications.

It functions as a defoamer during manufacturing and application. It also reduces surface tension, improves leveling and wettability, and prevents the formation of Benard cells. The reduction in surface tension can be mitigated by decreasing the polarity of the binder system.

BYK-A 560 N is recommended for all fiber-reinforced unsaturated polyester applications. BYK-A 560 N also demonstrates excellent degassing properties in certain gel coats, particularly in systems where airless processes are used. It is commonly used to improve the wettability of fibers. Wettability is enhanced in all common application methods, including RTM, injection, infusion, winding, and laminating. In pull-out molding applications, BYK-A 560 N improves degassing in the resin tank, prevents air entrapment, and enhances the wettability of fibers during processing.

"BYK-1693 SD" is a highly effective and compatible powdered defoamer for hybrid systems that combine mineral-based dry mix mortars with water-based or powder dispersions. The special combination of active ingredients in the additive provides powerful and lasting defoaming properties across the entire range of applications. By reducing the air bubble content, it improves the characteristics of fresh mortar and the physical properties of the cured system. BYK-1693 SD is particularly suitable for two-component waterproof membranes.
