This facility allows for pressure cycle tests with controlled temperature and humidity for large and long hydrogen containers. We will evaluate new materials such as electrode catalysts and electrolyte membranes for solid polymer fuel cells by integrating them into membrane/electrode assemblies (MEAs). The large shielded room can be used for testing and evaluation of automotive or industrial power electronics equipment (such as wireless power transmission devices) in the range of several kW to several tens of kW. ● The dimensions of the shielded room are 10×10×5 m (W×D×H), and the dimensions of the entrance door are 2.8×2.8 m (W×H), allowing for the entry of vehicles up to small truck size. ● It is also equipped with a smoke exhaust function, enabling testing of electric vehicles (EVs) as well as plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs). Additionally, for evaluating the durability of motors, a durability testing device using an intermediate shaft system and inverter emulator is also available.
