A disaster prevention workshop was held at a kindergarten! We conducted a disaster prevention workshop at "Sanae Kindergarten," which is the winning kindergarten in the Kansai region of the Sorabear Sonael Project. This time, Mr. Shoji from the Western Japan branch dressed up as a reindeer and, through an original story and disaster prevention experiences, we thought together with the children about preparations for "what if" scenarios. We hope that learning while having fun has provided an opportunity to think about disaster prevention and the environment. Please take a look at the workshop conducted in collaboration with the kindergarten teachers and the Sorabear Foundation.

In recent years, there has been a nationwide movement to accelerate the installation of air conditioning in school gymnasiums that serve as evacuation centers during disasters. Particularly, attention is being drawn to the combination of "spot air conditioners" and "generators" as measures against heatstroke in summer and cold in winter. "Spot air conditioners" can deliver heating and cooling precisely where needed, allowing for the efficient creation of a comfortable space even in large gymnasiums. Additionally, their installation is relatively easy, and they can be quickly operated during disasters, which is a significant advantage. Furthermore, by using "generators" in conjunction, stable power supply can be ensured even during power outages, contributing to the improvement of the evacuation center's environment and providing peace of mind. Recently, Uozu City has also introduced "spot air conditioners" and "generators." We have spoken with Masayuki Endo from the Disaster Prevention and Crisis Management Office about the background of this introduction and Uozu City's disaster prevention efforts. Please take a look! *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

ELSONA is a generator that can use both LP gas and gasoline, born from the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake. During the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, 14 units of the generator "GD1600SR" were donated, which were utilized as charging stations and power sources for lighting in evacuation centers. Additionally, initiatives such as the "Power Generation Station," which supplies electricity to nearby residents during disasters, and "1.5 for the future," which donates about 1.5% of generator sales to a nonprofit organization that supports the introduction of renewable energy, are also being implemented. These activities have been recognized, and ELSONA received the Grand Prize at the "Japan Resilience Award 2025." A significant feature of ELSONA is that it can generate power not only with gasoline but also with LP gas. Compared to gasoline, which is difficult to obtain during disasters, LP gas is easier to access as a decentralized energy source and is effective as an emergency fuel. This high level of convenience has been acknowledged, leading to its adoption at Fujita Medical University, one of Japan's largest university hospitals, at their disaster prevention education center. (*Delivery examples are currently being presented.) *The new model "GT8500TR" is scheduled to be released soon! The flyer is being unveiled exclusively on Ipros! *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Securing power during disasters is a lifeline for supporting affected areas. Recently, Mr. Wakatsuki from the Disaster Prevention Education Center at Fujita Medical University (Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture) has introduced our generator "ELSONA." Fujita Medical University Hospital, located on the same premises as the university, is one of the largest university hospitals in Japan (1,376 beds) and has been designated as a "core disaster response hospital" in Aichi Prefecture. It is strengthening its BCP (Business Continuity Plan) measures in preparation for large-scale disasters such as the Nankai Trough earthquake. In an interview, based on his real experiences supporting evacuation centers during the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, he shared the background of introducing the highly practical ELSONA generator, which supports both "LP gas" and "gasoline," as well as details about communication training using the generator. Please take a look.

ELSONA is a generator that can use both LP gas and gasoline, born from the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake. In response to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024, we donated 14 units of ELSONA to Suzu City and Noto Town as part of our support activities. In the disaster-stricken areas, road conditions were poor, making it difficult for transport vehicles to access, and there were purchase restrictions, making it extremely challenging to obtain gasoline. On the other hand, LP gas can be used from home gas cylinders or cylinders supplied by local governments, allowing for a stable supply even during disasters. In the affected areas, it served as a power source for lighting and smartphone charging stations, greatly appreciated by the local residents. Currently, we have surpassed 2,300 units in operational achievements. Many of the delivery destinations are local governments, and last year, 17 units were delivered to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Narashino Garrison, expanding our areas of activity. The "GD5000SR" weighs about half as much as typical generators in the same class (80-120kg) and has a compact size. It comes with a carry handle for easy transportation. Additionally, it offers high output suitable for evacuation centers, businesses, and large facilities nationwide. It supports not only single-phase 100V but also single-phase 200V, allowing it to power IH cooking heaters and air conditioners. It can also be connected to a distribution board to supply electricity to a building (prior installation work is required for distribution board connection). It can run continuously for about 44 hours on a single 50kg gas cylinder (note: this may vary depending on usage conditions and environment). It is the latest model in the Elsona series, featuring a quiet operation design with an inverter. ■ Supports two fuels: LP gas and gasoline, making it resilient to disasters ■ Rated output: LP gas 4.5kVA, gasoline 5.0kVA Suitable for evacuation centers, businesses, and large facilities nationwide ■ Weighs only 52kg, making it one of the lightest in its class and compact ■ First in the series to include a carry handle for easy movement ■ Equipped with an inverter and designed for quiet operation

Emergency food that I have stocked up for "someday." While it would be most delightful if that "someday" never comes, it would be a waste to throw it away after the expiration date! Checking the expiration dates of the emergency food you have stored is also a part of "disaster preparedness." This time, the emergency food provided by Hinomoto Shokusan Co., Ltd. has transformed into three luxurious dishes. The photoshoot took place in the community kitchen "DAIDOKORO" located on the top floor of the building where our Kyoto office is situated. *For more details about the column, you can view it through the related link. ELSONA is a generator that can use both LP gas and gasoline, born from the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake. G&ECO provided support activities, including supplying generators in collaboration with local governments during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024. In the field, we witnessed situations where generators could not operate due to a severe gasoline shortage, even though gasoline-powered generators were available, and although LP gas was present as a decentralized energy source, there were no generators compatible with LP gas. This reaffirmed the advantages of having a generator that can use both fuels. The highly anticipated 'GD5000SR' boasts the highest quality in Elsona's history! It is confidently recommended not only as an "emergency power source" but also as a "generator for everyday use." Please consider it. ■ Supports two fuels: LP gas and gasoline, which are resilient to disasters ■ Rated output: LP gas 4.5kVA, gasoline 5.0kVA Suitable for evacuation centers, businesses, and large facilities nationwide ■ Lightweight and compact at just 52kg, one of the lightest in its class ■ First in the series to feature a carry handle for easy transport ■ Equipped with an inverter and designed for quiet operation *Scheduled to begin shipping in April 2024. September is Disaster Prevention Month, and this autumn, disaster prevention drills and events have likely been held in various places, right? I myself attended a "Disaster Prevention Class" at a community center located at the site of a former elementary school near my home, where I conducted an undercover report. "Disaster Prevention by G&ECO" is a disaster prevention column written by employees of G&ECO Co., Ltd. All employees are certified disaster prevention specialists who provide disaster prevention information. / Theme of the 24th installment / 2024 Reflection Report! Experiencing the reliability of "LP gas" at disaster sites! While reflecting on past disasters, □ Preparing electricity so that we are not troubled if a disaster occurs tomorrow □ The reliability of "LP gas" at disaster sites is summarized. Immediately after the Noto Peninsula earthquake, G&ECO headed to the disaster area and donated 14 units of the generator "ELSONA GD1600SR," which can use both LP gas and gasoline. During our support activities in the affected area, we realized that compared to "gasoline," which is difficult to obtain due to purchase restrictions, "LP gas" is more accessible as it can be used from home gas cylinders or cylinders supplied by local governments, making it a resilient energy source in disasters. *For more details on the column, please refer to the related links. The "ELSONA GD1600SR" is the first portable generator in the Elsona series, designed to support high outputs of 1.53kVA with LP gas and 1.7kVA with gasoline, making it easy for women to carry! It can power various appliances such as smartphones, PCs, TVs, and refrigerators, serving as a useful outdoor item in everyday life and a reliable emergency power source during disasters, making it a phase-free portable generator. In the Noto Peninsula earthquake of Reiwa Year 6, we donated 14 GD1600 generators to the municipalities in Suzu City and Noto Town in collaboration with the affected areas. Given the difficulty in obtaining gasoline locally, the generators that can also use LP gas were greatly appreciated. With a noise level of 65 decibels, comparable to that of a train interior or a vacuum cleaner, it is fuel-efficient and can run continuously for about 100 hours on a single 50kg gas cylinder. (Note: This may vary depending on usage conditions and environment.) 【Features】 ■ Compact design for easy mobility, small yet high capacity ■ Compatible with both LP gas and gasoline, making it strong in emergencies ■ Capable of charging portable power sources ■ Inverter type for low fuel consumption ■ Suitable as an emergency power source for homes, offices, and evacuation centers *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

ELSONA is a generator that can use both LP gas and gasoline, born from the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake. G&ECO provided support activities, including supplying generators in collaboration with local governments during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024. On-site, we witnessed situations where generators could not operate due to a severe gasoline shortage, even though gasoline-powered generators were available, and although LP gas was present as a decentralized energy source, there were no generators compatible with LP gas. This reinforced our recognition of the advantages of a generator that can use both fuels. With one 50kg cylinder, it can run continuously for about 44 hours. *At 50% load. This may vary depending on usage conditions and environment. ■ Supports two fuels: LP gas and gasoline, which are resilient to disasters ■ Rated output: LP gas 4.5kVA, gasoline 5.0kVA Suitable for evacuation centers, businesses, and large facilities nationwide ■ Weighs only 52kg, making it one of the lightest in its class, and is compact ■ First in the series to feature a carry handle for easy transport ■ Equipped with an inverter and designed for quiet operation, making it silent in use
