The heavy rain in western Japan that occurred from June 28 to July 8, 2018 (Heisei 30). The impact was significant even in Tokushima Prefecture, where there were damages such as the isolation of communities due to landslides and many households experiencing power outages. When the power goes out, various devices become unusable, and it becomes impossible to maintain the usual way of life. This is especially burdensome for individuals with disabilities, who may suffer injuries or panic, leading to both physical and mental stress. As a result, the need for BCP (Business Continuity Plan) measures in welfare facilities has been increasing in recent years. The person we are featuring this time is the director of a facility supporting people with disabilities in Tokushima Prefecture, which was affected by the heavy rain in western Japan. With a capacity of 115 residents, and including day visitors and staff, the total exceeds 200 people. We would like to introduce a case where our emergency power generator "Elsona" was delivered to the Nachi Katsuura Town Hall. This area, rich in nature and known for the Nachi Falls, has suffered significant tsunami damage from past Nankai Trough earthquakes. Considering the possibility of disasters occurring not only in summer but also in winter, it was thought that residents affected by such disasters would need a system that provides both cooling and heating to prevent them from freezing. Therefore, we introduced our generator along with a spot bazooka that can be used for both cooling and heating. We would like to introduce a case where the town of Misaki has introduced the LP gas and gasoline generator "Elsona" in preparation for potential power outages. In a situation where emergency power sources have not yet been established in evacuation centers, and with the recent increase in disasters and power outage damage, the introduction of emergency power sources for use in evacuation centers was considered. The decisive factor for the introduction was the ability to use two types of fuel, LP gas and gasoline, along with the ease of maintenance due to the lack of a cover, which led to the purchase. Additionally, the large tires were praised for making it easy to move over rubble. We would like to introduce a case where we delivered the emergency power supply "Elsona," which is an LP gas and gasoline generator, to the Kamishi Qinshan 1-chome Community Center. Mr. Kitamura, whom we interviewed this time, experienced the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995 and has been supporting the town's disaster prevention efforts for many years as the chairman of the Qinshan 1-chome Disaster Prevention Association, drawing from his own experience of the disaster. There is a gymnasium designated as an evacuation center by the city that does not have air conditioning, and he believes that we should create evacuation centers that can operate air conditioning equipment in the event of a power outage due to an earthquake. Therefore, he considered the introduction of a generator with the power to run air conditioning. We delivered our product in this case. We would like to introduce a case where our emergency power supply "Elsona" was delivered to Aki City, Kochi Prefecture. The city has long been troubled by various natural disasters such as high waves and tsunamis caused by typhoons. To prepare for such natural disasters, we delivered the LP gas and gasoline generator "Elsona" in August 2020. In a situation where it is uncertain when a disaster might occur, they plan to conduct maintenance frequently to ensure it is always ready for use, aiming for a target frequency of at least once a year, or ideally twice a year. We would like to introduce a case where our emergency power supply "Elsona" was delivered to Wakasa Service Station of Chizu Oil Co., Ltd. The company originally owned one generator to be prepared for disasters as a "disaster response service station," but with just one unit, they could only operate two out of four measuring instruments and could not use the POS system. In order to register as a "community base service station," they decided to introduce our product using subsidies, allowing them to operate two additional measuring instruments and the POS system.
