Our company has been engaged in coating equipment primarily focused on dip coating. Among these, we have received numerous inquiries from companies such as paper manufacturers and manufacturers and sellers of molded containers regarding coatings aimed at providing "water resistance, heat resistance, and oil resistance" for three-dimensional shapes like pulp (paper) molds. We are conducting test coatings on prototype containers (pulp (paper) molds). Based on the results of these test coatings, we have developed a dedicated testing machine called the "Pulp Coater." The Pulp Coater catalog includes the following information regarding coating film performance: - Water and heat resistance: Changes over time after heating in a microwave (up to 72 hours) - Oil repellency KIT value - Oil resistance: Changes over time after applying salad oil, dressing, and soy sauce to the container (up to 24 hours) In light of the movement to reduce plastic use, companies considering a switch to materials with less environmental impact, especially those looking to convert disposable containers to pulp (paper) molds, are encouraged to make use of the Pulp Coater. Please feel free to contact us for inquiries regarding test coatings and other consultations.

Free membership registrationWhen it comes to AR (anti-reflective) coatings, they are widely recognized for being applied through dry processes, but it is also possible to achieve a reflectance of less than 1% (on one side) with a single-layer coating using the wet process dip coating method. By varying the withdrawal speed during dip coating, we have successfully controlled the film thickness in increments of 5 nm, achieving thicknesses between 100 and 160 nm, as demonstrated by our film thickness analysis data. The ability to control film thickness through variable withdrawal speed allows us to tailor the bottom wavelength to the desired wavelength, making it possible to achieve film deposition for specific purposes and applications, such as the bottom wavelength range of 550 nm to 650 nm required for optical lenses, or around 1500 nm needed for sensors in autonomous driving (LiDAR).

Free membership registrationThis device allows for the prevention of liquid pooling and approaches a uniform coating film by tilting the workpiece to an angle that facilitates liquid flow (Y-axis) during the lifting process (X-axis) for complex-shaped workpieces that are prone to liquid pooling in a vertical lifting posture. Additionally, for high-viscosity liquids that may cause dripping due to the posture after lifting, it is expected that changing the workpiece posture using the tilting function can also prevent dripping. As an option, it is possible to propose a 3-axis type by adding an additional axis and incorporating a rotation function to the tilt, allowing for a more uniform liquid flow onto the surface of cylindrical workpieces, resulting in a more uniform film formation.

Free membership registrationThis is a standalone device equipped with lifting functionality, liquid circulation functionality, and ultrasonic functionality aimed at liquid penetration into the fine details of the substrate. ◆ Benefits of 4-Sided Liquid Circulation Overflow - It can maintain a constant liquid level at all times. - The circulation path can be managed with the following functions: - Liquid temperature and concentration can be managed within a certain range. - Contaminants introduced into the liquid can be removed. ◆ Ultrasonic Function Aimed at Liquid Penetration into Fine Pores of the Workpiece ◆ Since humidity is undesirable after coating, a nitrogen purge function has been added to the dip lifting section and the liquid tank (with automatic lid). By incorporating additional functions tailored to the characteristics of the substrate and coating agent as described above, we strive to provide devices that meet our customers' objectives.

Free membership registrationPlease consider the anti-reflective film formation using the "alternate layering method," a wet process that can be coated at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The mainstream dry processes for anti-reflective film formation, such as vacuum deposition, require vacuum conditions, making them costly. On the other hand, the "alternate layering method" in the wet process involves immersing a substrate alternately in two types of solutions (cationic and anionic) at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, eliminating the need for vacuum conditions. The cost advantages are expected to show a significant difference not only during the testing and verification phase but also in the mass production equipment stage.

Free membership registrationDip coating is a simple painting method that obtains a coating film by immersing a substrate in paint and then pulling it out. It is often understood that this can be achieved with a machine that has a lifting function along with paint and a liquid tank. While this understanding is not incorrect, it is not sufficient on its own. Here, based on our years of experience, we will introduce the minimum necessary processes to obtain a high-quality coating film, along with our intentions.

Free membership registrationBy equipping the experimental machine, which tends to go into standby after completing experiments, with extended functionalities, it can transform into a facility capable of producing sample products that can be proposed to customers and small rod production as it progresses to the next stage. In reality, products formed by coating experiments such as dip coating often cannot be repurposed into sample products or actual products for customers due to irregularities in the appearance of the coated film. By reducing contamination, which is the main cause of these appearance irregularities, within the coating system, it is possible to dramatically decrease the disturbances in the coated film. ● Coating system for contamination reduction 1) Removal of contamination brought into the paint from the substrate (workpiece): Filtering during paint circulation and controlling the paint temperature within a certain range. 2) Increasing cleanliness by enclosing the coating area with a local booth and using a fan filter unit (FFU). The device that incorporates these two functions is the "FD200C2." We also offer the following options: - Monitoring of paint concentration and replenishment system - Temperature and humidity management within the local booth By adding these features, it becomes possible to provide even higher quality products.

Free membership registrationThis is a device capable of automatically and continuously processing multiple injection-molded plastic products sized 1,000×400 mm per batch, from ultrasonic cleaning in multiple tanks to dip coating and UV curing. Based on our years of experience, we prioritize vibration reduction, which is a crucial factor in dip coating (mass effect, placement of the drive source, and edge cutting) as part of our design philosophy. We understand the importance of each step in the coating process, including the role of ultrasonic cleaning in contributing to yield and the issues that can arise during the subsequent drying and curing processes (such as film irregularities), and we have been dedicated to creating equipment that satisfies our customers. The system also includes continuous monitoring of the paint, maintaining the liquid temperature according to requests, while automatically adjusting the liquid concentration by replenishing both the concentrated and diluted solutions to manage the coating within a consistent range of concentration and temperature. This is a mass production type hard coating device designed for large substrates, reflecting our experience and know-how.
