We would like to introduce an improvement case of the "I-NIX treatment," which enhances wear resistance and slip resistance, and serves as a countermeasure against the peeling of processing films. In the case of standard Tai-shi products, they only function normally as hemming dies for about 100,000 punches, necessitating a large number of replacement spare parts. However, after switching to hemming dies treated with I-NIX, the lifespan dramatically increased to 250,000 punches, and further success was achieved with continuous processing of 460,000 punches through shot peening treatment (WPC treatment). [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Issues Before Treatment - The occurrence of burrs necessitated full inspection, increasing the burden on operators. - Since they only function normally for about 100,000 punches, a large number of replacement spare parts were required. ■ After I-NIX Treatment - The timing of burr occurrence dramatically extended to between 250,000 and 270,000 punches. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce the achievements of "Ainix treatment," which can reduce maintenance frequency and enhance productivity. Previously, we performed nitriding treatment (Tuftride and Kanak), but cracks occurred after about 20,000 pieces. After the cracks appeared, we reused them through regrinding, but the productivity after correction was halved. After Ainix treatment, there were no cracks even after exceeding 120,000 pieces. We were able to achieve more than six times the lifespan without stopping production. 【Overview】 ■ Issues before treatment - Nitriding treatment (Tuftride and Kanak) was performed, but cracks occurred after about 20,000 pieces. - Reused through regrinding, but the production count after correction was halved. ■ Situation after Ainix treatment - No cracks occurred even after exceeding 120,000 pieces. - Achieved more than six times the lifespan. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn the fine blanking process for automotive flanges (SUS316, thickness 10mm), there was a problem where the cutting edge of the main punch became rough and was prone to chipping. The total life of the tool was also very short. By changing the hardening method and implementing "I-NIX treatment," the tool's lifespan has increased to more than three times that of previous versions. The toughness has improved, and the friction coefficient has been reduced by about half, which has resulted in less friction resistance and a decreased occurrence of chipping on the punch. [Case Summary] ■ Issue: The cutting edge of the main punch became rough and was prone to chipping. ■ Results: - Main punch for fine blanking processing SKH51, 800 shots (standard product) - By changing the hardening method and implementing "I-NIX treatment," the tool now lasts more than three times longer than before. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn the press processing of oil rings, the height of burrs has become a problem. When the height reaches a certain level, it is judged as a defective product, and it has been determined that preventing the burrs from becoming too high leads to longer lifespan. Currently, the existing products require regrinding after 300,000 shots, which poses a lifespan issue. By performing "I-NIX treatment," toughness is increased, and the friction coefficient is reduced to less than half, preventing wear phenomena and successfully extending lifespan. The lifespan has increased to six times (1.8 million shots), resulting in favorable outcomes. [Case Summary] ■ Issue: The current products require regrinding after 300,000 shots. ■ Results - Press mold hunch made of ultra-fine particle carbide lasts for 300,000 shots (standard product). - By applying "I-NIX treatment" to the above tool, it now lasts six times longer (1.8 million shots). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn the 90° bending process of stainless steel plate springs, the workpiece and the bending tool surface were experiencing welding during processing, leading to frequent mold corrections. Typically, after several tens of thousands of shots, the bending tool would quickly weld, causing a rapid change in structure. However, by applying "I-NIX treatment," the occurrence of welding was significantly reduced, and no dimensional changes were observed, resulting in a successful extension of tool life. The treatment demonstrated remarkable effects, yielding excellent results. [Case Summary] ■ Issue: Welding between the workpiece and the bending tool surface during processing, leading to frequent mold corrections. ■ Results - Bending tool carbide (G4) achieved 150,000 to 190,000 shots (standard product). - By applying "I-NIX treatment" to the above tool, it achieved 60 times the previous performance (12 million shots). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn the punching process of stainless steel substrates (thickness 0.4t), using the general material (carbide V30), the number of shots reached around 60,000, at which point the wear of the cutting edge became critical, necessitating regrinding (1.5mm per time). By implementing "I-NIX treatment," the friction coefficient was reduced, successfully extending the lifespan. Considering the effort involved in regrinding alone, significant cost benefits can be anticipated. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - In the punching process of stainless steel substrates (thickness 0.4t), regrinding was necessary. - Regrinding was limited to 5 times, raising concerns about lifespan. ■Results - No wear or chipping. - Over 1 million shots (approximately 20 times more effective). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe aluminum die-cast camera body mold fixed core (L270×W50×H75) underwent a common surface hardening method and was cast using a 250-ton die-casting machine. However, when the production reached approximately 130,000 units, severe erosion and burning phenomena due to aluminum molten metal occurred in the patron chamber and mask surface. Therefore, when we tried the "I-NIX treatment," we were able to continuously cast without issues for 7 days, and it was found to be effective for the die-casting mold as well. Furthermore, when we applied the same treatment to 2-3 other molds, similar effects were observed. [Case Summary] ■ Issue: It was extremely difficult to achieve continuous casting for even one day despite repeated surface treatments. ■ Result: We were able to continuously cast without issues for 7 days. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registration"I-NIX" refers to the "New Penetration Diffusion Treatment Method," which is a completely eco-friendly surface treatment method that processes a treatment agent primarily composed of Na (sodium) and special elements in an electric furnace. By improving qualities such as wear resistance, impact resistance, and heat resistance, it significantly extends the lifespan of products. Its efficient processing characteristics also enable cost reduction simultaneously. Due to its property of enveloping the coating, it becomes less prone to peeling. *Applicable only to items that can be treated at high temperatures. ◎ Press Molds - The friction coefficient decreases, resulting in a delayed wear effect on punches. - The penetration layer is deep, allowing for regrinding. *Typical penetration depth is 0.1 to 0.15 mm, which can be adjusted slightly depending on the treatment. - There is no dimensional change, allowing treatment of products with strict clearance requirements. Up to 20-30 times improvement compared to in-house standards for hard materials! ◎ Aluminum Die-Casting Molds - Can delay and minimize the occurrence of heat cracks due to thermal fatigue. Also effective against melting loss. Up to 0-10 times improvement! ◎ Cutting Tools - Processing with ultra-hard hob cutters or throwaway tips reduces chipping. Up to 2-6 times improvement! Please feel free to contact us if you have any requests.
