T.M.A. Company Profile

We will support companies from both the aspects of manufacturing and human development!

Our company was established 30 years ago, inspired by the teachings of Mr. Taiichi Ohno, the father of the Toyota Production System and former Vice President of Toyota Motor Corporation. The previous president, Shigehiko Sugawara, learned the methods of on-site improvement based on the Toyota Production System, as well as the supporting PM. After Mr. Ohno's passing, we established T.M.A. Co., Ltd. in 1992 to carry on his legacy. Manufacturing is about developing people. It involves creating sellable products based on the fundamental concepts of the Toyota Production System: "Just-In-Time" and "Jidoka." This means producing only what can be sold, when it can be sold, with a waste-free combination of people, machines, and materials, all within the shortest lead time. To achieve this, it is essential for the manufacturing, sales, and development departments to work together as one cohesive unit. We aim to realize manufacturing and human development that challenges together, leverages for the future, and creates the next stage. As a result, people grow, and a resilient corporate culture emerges. Our company strongly supports these initiatives. We operate six business areas: 1. On-site improvement consulting and seminar instructor dispatch 2. Online seminars and group seminars 3. T-Mate system 4. Book publishing and sales 5. Correspondence education 6. Video distribution

Web Seminar "The Power to Unite a Team and Bring Out Team Strength"

  • SEMINAR_EVENT

The "Team Cohesion and Team Strength Development Seminar" is an online seminar that provides techniques for demonstrating leadership that drives members and achieves results as a team. "Become a Leader Who Unites the Team from an Excellent Player" The cornerstone of the workplace is the leadership class, such as supervisors and team leaders. It is crucial for these individuals, who know the front lines, to demonstrate leadership that drives the work and leads the members. No matter how excellent a player is, if they work alone, they will only ever be as strong as one horsepower. It’s about demonstrating strength as a team! In other words, it’s about moving people… and that requires a deep understanding of others and the ability to respond. I believe that the most important aspects are the perspective and execution needed to involve those around you, align the vectors, and propel the team forward. [What You Will Learn] ■ Delegating Work ⇒ The key points and tips for confidently delegating work instead of taking it all on yourself. ■ The Four Windows of Interpersonal Relationships ⇒ How to deeply understand yourself and help others recognize you better. ■ Mentoring Skills for Junior Colleagues ⇒ Analyzing the guidance necessary for the "Hō-Ren-Sō" (reporting, communicating, and consulting) to function through short case studies. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

[WEB Seminar] How to Establish the Toyota-style Pull Production System on the Shop Floor

  • SEMINAR_EVENT

【Key Points of This Seminar】 - What is "push-type"? The true nature of common waste in the workplace - Basic principles of pull production and steps for on-site implementation - The concept of "downstream pull" to reduce work-in-progress and inventory - Case studies of companies that have made improvements - Specific methods for establishing a small start 【Target Audience: Improvement leaders and management】 - Those who feel there is too much "overproduction," "bottlenecks," and "wasteful movements" in the workplace - Those struggling with the gap between production planning and actual work - Those looking for ways to sustain improvement activities - Those who want to know practical methods for implementing TPS (Toyota Production System) ~ Visualizing waste to achieve "just enough, when needed" ~ "Is your workplace being 'pushed'?" In the workplace, issues such as "produced but not used" and "work-in-progress overflowing and halting flow" are common. Many of these problems may stem from push-type production, where items are made "just in case" rather than "because they are needed." A chain moves easily when "pulled," but what happens when it is "pushed"? ── This is precisely the difference between push and pull. We will teach you the system of production that "does not overproduce and does not stagnate" based on the concept of "pull production."

[WEB Seminar] Inheriting Technology: How to Create Work Instructions

  • SEMINAR_EVENT

**Seminar Points** Improvement means changing standards for the better. There can be no improvement where there are no standards. If there are no standards, start by creating them. Standards are "rules." What to decide are "procedures," "methods," and "timing." This seminar is focused on determining "procedures" and creating "work instruction documents." **"Without standards, there is no improvement" — Learning from Toyota's teachings on documentation in the workplace** The source of Toyota's strength lies in the concepts of "improvement" and "standardization." At the core of this is a culture of making insights and skills visible in the workplace and documenting them. In other words, it is a system of knowledge transfer through documentation. Relying on the experience and intuition of veterans can be a strength in the workplace, but it also carries the risk that quality may change when people change. By ensuring that everyone performs tasks in the same way, we can achieve the same quality products (good products) in the same amount of time. First and foremost, the development of "work instruction documents" is essential. When presenting work instruction documents in video format, it is also a prerequisite that this "foundational document" is well established. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.*
