We would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving at Yamashiro Transport Co., Ltd., which conducts steel material transportation. The company planned to construct a logistics center in Saitama Prefecture to strengthen its transportation capacity. However, since the planned construction site was agricultural land, they had started "development discussions" to change the land to one suitable for building a warehouse, but this was proving difficult. We supported the preparation of various application documents and conducted administrative discussions together with the development design office, reporting the plans and results to the business owner. By closely sharing information among project members, the gears that had been stalled at the beginning of the project began to turn. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issue: Development discussions / Overall cost and schedule ■ Solution: Development discussion support / Quality improvement + Cost control ■ Industry: Transportation and warehousing ■ Warehouse type: General warehouse (DRY) ■ Stored items: Steel-related materials *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study on problem-solving at Tanabe Shoji Co., Ltd., a long-established general trading company that handles essential products for daily life and business, including food for home and commercial use. The company's request was to "not just consolidate four locations, but to focus on management planning while maximizing the synergy of each product, and to emphasize hygiene management as a logistics center handling food." We approached this challenge. We arranged products across three temperature zones—refrigerated, frozen, and ambient—in a way that facilitates mixed loading, and ensured that the first-floor ambient storage space has enough capacity to accommodate the increasing number of refrigerated and frozen products in the future. [Case Overview] ■ Challenge: Storage location and capacity / Hygiene management of the logistics center ■ Solution: Storage settings based on analysis and forecasting / Integration of hygiene management and operational efficiency ■ Industry: General trading company ■ Warehouse Type: Temperature-controlled warehouse ■ Stored Items: Food, dry ice, packaging materials, etc. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving at the Osaka branch of Nippon Express, a transportation company. The most important aspect of operating a temperature-controlled hazardous materials warehouse is the "setting of temperature conditions." This is because the temperature conditions significantly affect the layout, structure, and equipment. The company set the temperature conditions to "1°C to 30°C," allowing for a range in management temperature. As a result, they were able to exclude the installation of anterooms and winter heating equipment from the initial discussions, thereby establishing a foundation for the plan. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issue: Compliance with GDP for hazardous materials / Renovation of hazardous materials warehouse ■ Solution: Setting of temperature conditions / Forecasting changes in available space ■ Industry: Logistics ■ Warehouse Type: Temperature-controlled hazardous materials warehouse ■ Stored Items: Pharmaceuticals *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving at Marukami Logistics, which handles the storage and delivery of pharmaceuticals and daily necessities. The company received a request from a client, a wholesaler of sanitary materials and medical supplies, to "take over the operations of our warehouse and create a dedicated logistics warehouse." While considering this request, they established a connection with Sanwa Construction. After an inspection and evaluation by the RiSOKO team, they proposed the introduction of an "automated warehouse" that can also serve as horizontal transportation. In the new warehouse, the automated warehouse section was designed as an atrium, significantly improving operational efficiency by streamlining "vertical transportation" between floors and "horizontal transportation" within each floor. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issue: Operational Efficiency ■ Solution: Automation of the warehouse / Comprehensive support for the client ■ Industry: Transportation and Warehousing ■ Type of Warehouse: Automated Warehouse ■ Stored Items: Sanitary materials, medical supplies, etc. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving at Heiki Kaiun, which has newly entered the hazardous materials warehouse industry that requires special structures and strict constraints. The basic structure of a hazardous materials warehouse is designed to allow explosions to vent from the roof. When temperature control is necessary, the installation of "ceiling insulation panels" is effective, but it is rare to obtain installation permission under the Fire Service Act. Therefore, we approached the solution with a "ceiling installation." Focusing on a site facing the sea with few adjacent buildings and pedestrian traffic, we proposed a "lateral" explosion venting structure that directs the explosion away from the door. By reducing the risk of accident induction through "the width of the retained open space" and ensuring that the explosion direction is towards the wide area of the site and the sea, and further designing the door as an explosion venting structure, we were able to obtain approval from the fire department based on strength values. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issue: Explosion venting structure ■ Solution: Door explosion venting structure that meets special conditions ■ Industry: Transportation and warehousing ■ Warehouse Type: Hazardous materials warehouse, temperature-controlled warehouse ■ Stored Materials: Hazardous materials *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving at a certain company that decided to rebuild an aging hazardous materials warehouse. The company has decided to add a "temperature-controlled warehouse" to its ambient temperature warehouse. A particularly challenging issue is the introduction of "mobile racks" to facilitate the management of stored items. Since hazardous materials literally pose a risk of ignition or explosion, even moving them incurs risks, and permission must be obtained under the strict scrutiny of the fire department that oversees that area. To address this, custom auxiliary components were welded to the main body of the rack, and a structure was created that interlocks with the rail section to improve stability during movement. Additionally, this also serves as a protective function for the wheels and meets the required strength. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenge: Hazardous materials handling ■ Solution: Rack wheel measures / Rack component measures / Rack rail measures ■ Industry: Manufacturing ■ Warehouse Type: Hazardous materials warehouse ■ Stored Items: Raw materials, etc. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
