The FRM220 series is a multi-service chassis platform that provides reliable solutions for high-density media converter modules in applications such as telecommunications, enterprise, long-distance transmission, and factory automation. The power modules, fans, management modules, and interface cards for the FRM220-CH20 and FRM220-CH08 chassis are all hot-swappable, allowing for replacement without interrupting communication. The FRM220-CH04A is a fixed-type chassis with built-in AC and DC power. Available power options include built-in AC, DC power, or redundant power configurations of AC + DC, AC + AC, and DC + DC. The FRM220 series is offered in three types of chassis: 2U 20 slots (FRM220-CH20), 1U 8 slots (FRM220-CH08), and 1U 4 slots (FRM220-CH04A).

The FRM220-OPS series provides redundancy for optical fibers on a per-channel basis. These units are suitable for protecting/ensuring any type of optical fiber data transmission, including CWDM and DWDM links. This solution includes monitoring capabilities for both active and protection path optical fibers. If the optical fiber is cut on the active path, traffic will switch to the protected path in less than 50ms (FRM220-OPS51) or 20ms (FRM220-OPS52). If both cards are placed in an FRM220 rack with SNMP management, monitoring is possible via SNMP management. Administrators can view the status/type/version of the converter cards, fiber link status, and alarms. The card module can be configured to enable/disable ports, reset, and set thresholds for switching timing.

The FRM220-4G-3S is a 2R 4G optical regeneration device consisting of re-amplification (ReAmp) and re-shaping (Re-Shape). The FRM220-4G-3S supports SFP optical interfaces on both the line side and the client side, converting data signals to wavelengths suitable for transmission on specific channels. The aggregation fiber port supports 1 + 1 automatic optical line protection switching. When the FRM220-4G-3S card is installed in an FRM220 aggregation rack with SNMP management capabilities, administrators can check the type and version of this card module, as well as the status of the optical fiber link and alarms. The card can also enable or disable ports, reset ports, and perform loopback diagnostics.
