Dakota Japan Co., Ltd., which specializes in the sale of ultrasonic testing equipment such as ultrasonic thickness gauges, flaw detectors, and axial force gauges, will begin selling its new product, the A-scan ultrasonic thickness gauge 'CMX10-DL', starting June 15. The 'CMX10-DL' is a versatile A-scan ultrasonic thickness gauge that caters to a wide range of applications, from corrosion inspection to high-precision thickness measurement. It supports the measurement of remaining wall thickness in tanks and pipes, substrate thickness measurement over coatings, as well as measurements of lining materials, composite materials, and clad materials, and is capable of precision thickness measurements requiring a resolution of 0.001mm. The CMX10-DL not only saves echo waveforms and measurement values but also supports echo recording for up to 10 seconds. This allows for the recording of momentary thickness changes or waveform changes during measurement, thereby streamlining the verification of inspection results and report generation. Additionally, with TCG (Time Corrected Gain), BEA (Bottom Echo Monitoring), and B-scope (B-scan), it supports reliable measurements even for challenging subjects such as composite materials, clad materials, and localized corrosion, where waveform judgment is difficult.

Dakota Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Saitama City, CEO: Yoshitomo Fukazawa), which specializes in the sale of various testing equipment such as ultrasonic testing devices and hardness testers, will begin selling its new portable Rockwell hardness tester, 'TKX LIGHT', starting June 25. The 'TKX LIGHT' is a portable hardness tester that allows for easy and high-precision measurement of the hardness of metallic materials. It adopts the principle of the Rockwell hardness test and boasts excellent reproducibility of ±0.4 HRC, achieving stable hardness measurements. It is suitable for high-precision hardness measurements in both field and laboratory settings. The testing subjects range from non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, and bronze to a wide variety of metallic materials and surface treatments, including hard and soft steel, hardened steel, nitrided products, carburized products, and chrome-plated surfaces. Measurement data can be stored up to 3,500 entries, and it supports tolerance setting, statistical data management such as maximum, minimum, and average values, as well as external output of measurement values via RS-232. Additionally, the minimum measurement thickness is 0.08mm (for 65 HRC), making it suitable for hardness measurement of thin plates and surface treatment layers.

Dakota Japan Co., Ltd. will begin sales of its new rebound hardness testers, 'Leeb Lite' and 'Lab Leeb', starting May 20. ◆ Overview of the Rebound Hardness Testers 'Leeb Lite' and 'Lab Leeb' 'Leeb Lite' and 'Lab Leeb' are rebound hardness testers suitable for measuring the hardness of metallic materials with a mass of over 5kg and a thickness of over 25mm. They are lightweight, compact, and easy to operate, making them user-friendly for those conducting hardness measurements for the first time, and they provide stable measurements in the field. Additionally, the 'Lab Leeb' supports Bluetooth communication, allowing it to connect to smartphones and tablets. With the dedicated app 'NOVOTEST Lab', users can view measurement values on a large screen and easily share data such as reports, photos, and videos. ◆ Features - No need for extensive training. It minimizes variability from the operator, allowing for stable measurements. - Automatically corrects errors by inputting the impact (measurement) direction. Supports five directions: 0/45/90/135/180 degrees. - Weighing approximately 80g and featuring a simple menu, it allows easy hardness measurement even for women and the elderly.

Dakota Japan Co., Ltd., which specializes in the sale of ultrasonic testing equipment, will begin selling its new ultrasonic thickness gauge 'CX216' starting April 10. ◆ Overview of the Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge 'CX216' The 'CX216' is an ultrasonic thickness gauge capable of measuring coatings on various substrates, including not only iron and aluminum but also resin, rubber, glass, FRP, ceramics, wood, and concrete. A significant feature is that it does not depend on the material of the substrate, unlike electromagnetic and eddy current thickness gauges. It supports thickness measurement for a wide range of objects, regardless of whether they are metallic or non-metallic. It can individually measure up to three layers of thickness and also supports simultaneous measurement of thickness and substrate (base material). The measurement range is broad, allowing for measurements of up to 5.5mm with epoxy paint and approximately 15mm with steel materials. ◆ Features - Measures not only metals but also coating thickness on resin, wood, and concrete. - High resolution of 1μm detects slight thickness differences, allowing for precise management of both thin and thick films. - Supports simultaneous measurement of up to three layers of thickness or two layers of thickness plus substrate. - By inputting a rough estimate of the thickness of the target, it detects the correct echo and prevents erroneous measurements. - Wide measurement range of 13~5500μm (epoxy paint), accommodating everything from thin films to thick films with a single device.

Dakota Japan Co., Ltd. will begin selling its new product, the UCI hardness tester 'Lab UCI Pro,' starting March 25. ◆ Second Generation UCI Hardness Tester 'Lab UCI Pro' The 'Lab UCI Pro' is a second-generation UCI hardness tester that significantly improves the repeatability of measurements, addressing the challenges faced by traditional UCI hardness testers and enhancing measurement accuracy. The UCI method has been known to require skill for measurements compared to the rebound (Leeb) method, leading to variability in measurement values among inspectors. The 'Lab UCI Pro' utilizes unique technology to greatly reduce this variability, allowing anyone to achieve stable measurements similar to the rebound method, making high-precision hardness measurement more accessible. It is capable of measuring the hardness of thin plates, small parts, components with complex shapes, heat-affected zones (HAZ), and surface hardening layers due to heat treatment, and is also used for product inspection due to its small indentation size. Additionally, with a very wide hardness measurement range of 20 to 2000 HV, it accommodates a broad spectrum of metal materials, from soft metals like pure aluminum and copper to carbon steel, tool steel, hardened steel, and even cemented carbide.
