Sales of the UCI hardness tester "T-PRO" will begin on November 5, 2026.
Dakota Japan Co., Ltd. will begin selling its new product, the UCI hardness tester "T-PRO," starting November 5, 2026.
The "T-PRO" is a portable hardness tester that measures the hardness of metallic materials using the ultrasonic contact impedance method (UCI method). It produces small indentations during measurement, allowing for hardness verification while minimizing the impact on the surface of products and components.
Compared to the previous model "T-U3," it has reduced measurement value variability, enabling more stable measurements. It is suitable for hardness measurement of small components, complex shapes, heat-affected zones (HAZ) of welds, and surface hardened layers due to heat treatment. Additionally, with a wide measurement range of 40 to 1,000 HV, it accommodates a variety of metallic materials, from soft metals like aluminum alloys and copper to hardened steel. *The measurement range varies depending on the material.
It offers five types of detachable probes with different shapes to accommodate measurements of complex shapes and narrow areas. Furthermore, using an optional test stand can reduce variability introduced by the operator.
