Adopts the 2nd generation UCI probe. Supports hardness measurement of small parts, hardened layers, and heat-affected zones (HAZ) with five types of probes.
The "T-PRO" is a portable hardness tester with a detachable probe that utilizes a second-generation UCI probe. It reduces the measurement variability that has been a challenge with conventional UCI hardness testers and supports stable hardness measurements. Adopting the UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) method, it is suitable for localized hardness measurements of small parts, heat-treated items, surface hardened layers, and heat-affected zones (HAZ) of welds due to its small indentation. It offers a lineup of five different probes with varying shapes, and the test loads can be selected from HV1 (9.8 N), HV5 (49 N), and HV10 (98 N). Probes can be used according to the shape and conditions of the measurement target, such as gears or narrow spaces.
