- Circadian Rhythm Circadian rhythm is a physiological phenomenon that regulates certain processes in the body on an approximately 25-hour cycle. Most processes in the body, including wakefulness rhythm, autonomic nervous system, endocrine hormone system, immune system, and metabolic system, are regulated by circadian rhythms. FabRx, a UK company specializing in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology that spun out from University College London, has launched a 3D printer aimed at the manufacturing of solid dosage forms focused on personalized medicine. The Printlet, a tablet manufactured using a 3D printer with three different nozzles (for powder, gel, and filament), has been tested in various research institutions, hospitals, and pharmacies overseas, and is now available for sale domestically. By using registered formulations and manufacturing conditions in dedicated software, it can be applied in medical settings for personalized medicine, as well as in drug discovery and clinical trial drug manufacturing.
