1. Regarding the effectiveness of rust prevention (anti-corrosion) In the UK, coil-type electromagnetic devices are primarily used as a measure against calcium scale, and their effectiveness in preventing red rust has not been recognized. In fact, at St. Thomas' Hospital, famous for Florence Nightingale and where the NHS headquarters is located, this device was introduced into the hot water piping, but it showed no anti-corrosion effect, and red rust deterioration was progressing. Non-Scaler Implementation Case: Major Food Factory

A case of preventing flow reduction due to calcium buildup in the secondary side valve of the warm water piping.

**Effects After Installing the Non-Scaler** - Eliminated the decrease in flow rate caused by calcium crystals - Both flow rate and temperature remain stable even after 4 months - No need for disassembly cleaning, significantly reducing maintenance time and burden At our factory, we used groundwater containing a high level of calcium (180 mg/L), which made it easy for calcium scale to adhere inside the valves, frequently causing a decrease in flow rate. Proven rust prevention effect in water quality test one week after installation!

This property is a 29-year-old building that originally used galvanized steel pipes (SGP) for its plumbing at the time of completion, but over the years, it has been updated to use vinyl-lined steel pipes (VLP). However, due to the building's structure, the plumbing inside the framework remained galvanized steel pipes (SGP), which led to the occurrence of red water due to corrosion. The red rust blockage rate improved by 13.2% within one year of installation!

This property is 11 years old, and the red rust blockage at the joint of the water supply pipe in the exclusive area had progressed to about 70%. Completely prevent water leakage damage from air conditioning piping used in hotels!

At Hotel Serve Shibuya, galvanized steel pipes (SGP) are used for the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping, and there was a concern about the deterioration due to red rust and leakage from the joints. As a countermeasure against red rust deterioration and leakage, a red rust prevention pipe longevity device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, water samples were taken from the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping, revealing that the water was tinted light brown, with a total iron content of 5.8 mg/l, indicating significant red rust corrosion within the pipes. Two weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the total iron content in the water within the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping significantly decreased to 0.6 mg/l. In a water sample taken four weeks after the installation, the water was nearly transparent, with the total iron content further reduced to 0.5 mg/l. It was proven that new red rust was completely prevented within the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping, and the existing red rust had transformed into inert black rust. [NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Moseley Hospital (NHS)

Prevent red rust and leaks in the hot water piping of Moseley Hospital!

Moseley Hospital has two independent hot water systems: one connected to the storage tank and the other connected to the hot water header, with galvanized steel pipes used in the hot water piping. As a result, NMR pipe protectors were installed in the storage tank piping and the hot water header piping to prevent red rust corrosion and leaks in both hot water systems. Water samples were taken from the hot water piping at five locations, and the average iron content in the water was calculated. Before the installation of the NMR pipe protectors, the average value was 13.824 mg/l. After 15 weeks of installation, it decreased to 1.3882 mg/l; after 31 weeks, it further decreased to 0.4762 mg/l; and after 49 weeks, it reached 0.3428 mg/l, showing a significant reduction. This result demonstrated that the NMR pipe protectors prevented the formation of new red rust within the pipes and reduced existing red rust to black rust, which is insoluble in water and has a volume that is one-tenth of that of red rust. It has been proven that by continuing to install NMR pipe protectors, the hot water piping will transform 100% of the red rust within the pipes into black rust, thereby extending the lifespan of the building.

[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Windsor Castle

Preventing red rust deterioration of the hot water piping at Windsor Castle in the UK!

The hot water supply pipes used in Windsor Castle, owned by the British royal family and with a history of 900 years, utilize SGP pipes. To prevent red rust deterioration and extend the lifespan of the pipes, an NMR Pipe Protector was installed on January 24, 2007. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the water in Room 107 was 3.32 mg/l, but 42 days after installation, it dropped to 0.007 mg/l. Additionally, the average iron content from two other sampling locations was 4.255 mg/l before installation, but decreased to 0.0105 mg/l after installation. This is significantly lower than the drinking water quality standard set by the UK, which is 0.2 mg/l. As a result, it has been demonstrated that the NMR Pipe Protector effectively prevents the occurrence of new red rust within the pipes and transforms existing red rust into black rust, which does not dissolve in water. [NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Fukuoka Prefecture Condominium

After 16 years of installation, the effectiveness verification shows a reduction in red rust blockage rate from 50.7% to 41.2%, an improvement of 18.7%! This demonstrates the effectiveness of red rust prevention and pipe lifespan extension.

A follow-up survey was conducted in a condominium in Fukuoka Prefecture, 16 years after the installation of the NMR pipe protector. Before installation, the joints of the water supply pipes in Rooms A and B were inspected with a fiberscope, revealing red rust blockage rates of 50.7% and 78.2%, respectively, indicating significant progression of red rust blockage and the need for early intervention. Consequently, the NMR pipe protector was installed in the water supply piping. Additionally, it was proven that as long as this condominium remains standing for another 20 or 30 years, pipe replacement will not be necessary.

[NMR Pipe Protector] Effectiveness Demonstrated through X-ray Inspection | Hokkaido Condominium

Effectiveness demonstrated by X-ray inspection of the water supply pipes in the condominium 19 years after the installation of the NMR pipe protector.

Nineteen years after the installation of the NMR pipe protector, an inspection was conducted by the condominium management association of a 9-story, 110-unit building in Sapporo, Hokkaido, when the building was 32 years old. They commissioned an external investigation company to examine the condition of red rust deterioration at the water supply pipe joints. Ten locations were selected within the pipe space of the water supply pipes (pipe diameters 25A to 65A) from the 1st to the 9th floor, and a non-destructive inspection using X-rays was performed on the joint areas. The results of the X-ray inspection showed that out of the ten locations, eight had no signs of red rust deterioration at the pipe joints. The other two locations showed only slight traces of corrosion, which were estimated to have occurred before the installation of the NMR pipe protector. This demonstrated that the red rust deterioration of the water supply pipes in this condominium had been completely prevented. Although the NMR pipe protector cannot prevent corrosion on the outside of the pipes, slight external corrosion was observed. Effect of the calcium scale solidification adhesion prevention device "Non-Scaler"

The calcium scale prevention device "Non-Scaler" solves the calcium scaling problem in hot water boilers without using ion exchange resins or strong alkaline agents.

Calcium scale inevitably adheres to the interior of hot water boilers and similar equipment. To reduce the adhesion of calcium scale, traditionally, ion exchange resins have been used to soften the water by removing calcium ions before producing hot water in the boiler. The residual calcium in the water crystallizes as insoluble calcium carbonate within the boiler and adheres to it. Traditionally, strong alkaline agents were added to the boiler to prevent the formation reaction of calcium carbonate. However, strong alkaline hot water is highly corrosive to metals, leading to corrosion and deterioration of the boiler itself, internal piping, and hot water piping, which shortens the lifespan of the boiler and connected piping systems to around 10 years. The calcium scale prevention device "Non-Scaler" reacts the calcium in the water with free carbon dioxide within the Non-Scaler, forcibly transforming it into fine particles of calcium carbonate that are dispersed and flow in the water. Once calcium carbonate is converted into fine particles, it remains unchanged even under the high temperature and pressure conditions inside the boiler, flowing in its particulate state. Additionally, the effects of corrosion and deterioration caused by strong alkaline agents are eliminated, making it possible to extend the lifespan of the boiler and hot water piping by more than double.

During six measurements conducted from September 26 to October 30, before the installation of the NMR pipe protector, the residual chlorine concentration at the planned installation site (Point A) averaged 0.55 mg/L (with Point A's residual chlorine concentration set at 100%), while 50 meters downstream (Point B) averaged 0.41 mg/L (a reduction rate of 25.45%), and at the farthest point, 125 meters away (Point C), it averaged 0.23 mg/L (a reduction rate of 58.18%), indicating a decrease due to the red rust occurring in the piping. Subsequently, on November 5, the NMR pipe protector was installed, and after more than three months, during three measurements from February 19 to March 22, the residual chlorine concentration at the installation site (Point A) averaged 0.61 mg/L, while at 50 meters downstream (Point B) the average for the same three measurements was 0.61 mg/L (a reduction rate of 0%), showing that the decrease was mostly prevented. Even at the farthest point, 125 meters away (Point C), the average for the same three measurements was 0.55 mg/L (a reduction rate of 9.84%), significantly improving the reduction rate.

Christ's College, Cambridge University, originated from God's House, which was established in 1437, and was rebuilt and opened as Christ's College in 1505 at nearly the same location.
