Dip Coater (Coating): Introduction to the Coating Flow

We would like to introduce the coating process and various mechanisms of the mass production dip coater (coating device) that our company has been manufacturing so far.
In reality, what kind of mechanisms are involved in an automatic mass production dip coating device? How is the coating applied? What are the important factors to consider when constructing and selecting these mechanisms? This content addresses these questions from a coating perspective.

"What is a high-quality coating film?" We believe it can be summarized in the following two points:
- Cleanliness: Minimal film unevenness, drips, defects, accumulations, and deviations.
- Sufficient durability: Adequate adhesion between the substrate and the paint.
The performance of the coating film depends on the paint, but to bring out the performance of that paint, it is necessary to consider the three processes: pre-coating cleaning/modification process, dip coating process, and drying (curing) process, along with the key points of each mechanism.
