The "AFC" is an automatic recovery device for qEV columns that simplifies the extraction process of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from extraction to cleaning. By automatically recovering fractions based on weight detection, it minimizes variability due to manual work, achieving greater reproducibility than ever before. Additionally, it features an RFID tag (an IC tag that can store information) to manage manufacturing and QA data, usage counts, and cleaning cycles. Cutting-edge visualization using fluorescent staining The characteristics of Acoerela dye are its high quantum yield (>25%) and specificity. A significant increase in fluorescence intensity is observed only when the fluorescent dye binds to the target, during which the hydrophobicity of the environment surrounding the dye changes. The substantial difference in emission profiles between bound and unbound dyes underlies the "light-on" mechanism.

Cell-friendly gene introduction: Next-generation transfection platform

Using the latest photoporation technology, a wide variety of cells, including iPS cells and CAR-T cells, can be introduced with various substances such as nucleic acids, proteins, and CRISPR/Cas9 RNPs. This method provides minimal damage during introduction, high survival rates, and achieves efficient transfection with high throughput. Photoporation is a gentle method for delivering payloads to cells based on the interaction between pulsed laser light and photothermal nanosenstizers. When laser light is applied to unique nanosenstizers adjacent to the cells, temporary pores are formed in the cell membrane through localized plasmonic reactions, allowing external payloads to enter the cytoplasm with minimal impact on cell survival and function. This technology serves as a next-generation transfection platform that efficiently, flexibly, and safely delivers various payloads to a wide range of cells, including primary cells, where transfection is challenging.
