[Seminar] Practical Points and Responses for Internal Whistleblowing Investigations
[Instructor]
Takahiro Ugajin, Attorney at Ugajin International Law Office (Japan, New York State)
[Key Lecture Content]
The number of internal whistleblowing and harassment reports has been increasing year by year, and the content has become increasingly complex and difficult, placing a growing burden on those responsible for handling these reports. However, even when conducting investigations into internal whistleblowing, there are few opportunities to learn practical know-how regarding the flow of the investigation, the order and types of questions to ask during interviews, what other materials should be collected aside from interviews, and how to determine the existence of facts based on the investigation results. Therefore, in this seminar, the instructor, an attorney who has been involved in numerous harassment investigation cases, will share practical investigation know-how that can be immediately applied, based on specific examples, including the flow of harassment and internal investigations, the order of interviews, methods of questioning, and methods of fact-finding.
