[Seminar] The Challenges and Renewed Efforts of a 40-Person Research Institute in Achieving DX
[Speaker]
Taro Ito, Deputy Director, Advanced Technology Application Research Institute, Chubu Electric Power Company, Inc.
[Key Lecture Content]
Two years ago, we set forth a grand vision of building a "DX platform" as a means for everyone in the community to utilize digital transformation, despite being a research institute of an electric power company. However, within the limited framework of a research organization with around 40 people, we struggled to balance investment and returns, leading to a necessary reevaluation of our vision.
In this lecture, I will reflect on the challenges and setbacks we faced, considering how to reconcile ideals with reality. Based on the lessons learned from our trial and error, I will introduce practical DX initiatives and specific examples that are commensurate with our organizational scale, sharing insights on how to advance transformation within limited management resources.
