[Seminar] Transition Strategy to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
[Speaker]
Hiroo Ito, Head of Sales Division, CS Business Unit, IDEMIA Japan, Inc.
[Key Lecture Content]
With the advancement of quantum computers, the possibility that conventional cryptographic techniques may be easily broken in the future has been increasing recently. The risk of attacks such as 'Harvest Now, Decrypt Later' has already become clear, and efforts towards Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) have begun. Rather than discussing when Q-Day (the specific day when current cryptographic techniques will be broken by quantum computers) will occur, we will introduce the need to immediately start considering the transition to PQC and how the industry should catch up with the timeline, especially for critical infrastructure.
