CLT as a civil engineering base plate | Proposing new uses for wood with Hyper CLT base plates.

CLT is a wood panel that is laminated with the fiber direction oriented perpendicular to each other. It is a material often used for walls and floors in buildings, but the Hyper CLT panel utilizes its characteristics in civil engineering sites.
It adds a new option of wood to places where steel plates have traditionally been used, such as temporary roads, access routes, heavy machinery work yards, and material storage areas.
The 5×10 panel weighs about 230 kg, and the 5×20 panel weighs about 460 kg, making them relatively lightweight, which makes installation, removal, and relocation easier depending on site conditions. In addition to the unique texture of wood, it is easier to suppress summer glare, radiant heat, and metallic sounds during vehicle operation, contributing to environmental considerations.
The Hyper CLT panel is registered as a technology with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism under NETIS as "TH-250021-A." It can also be incorporated into proposals for the use of new technologies and wood in public works.
