This service conducts weather resistance tests to evaluate the degradation effects of sunlight (ultraviolet rays) on products and components. Weather resistance refers to the resistance to degradation primarily caused by sunlight, rain, snow, temperature, humidity, and ozone in the natural environment. To assess this, it is necessary to conduct outdoor exposure tests or accelerated weather resistance tests using artificial light sources. JTL's weather resistance testing service can artificially recreate indoor and outdoor sunlight conditions using xenon light sources, accelerating degradation faster than in natural environments. Tests can be conducted on paints (JIS K 5600-7-7), building materials (JIS A 1415), plastics (JIS K 7350-2), coatings, printed materials, textiles, and more, complying with various standards such as JIS, ISO, and JASO.

【Support for Tests Approximating Sunlight】 Xenon lamps have a spectral irradiance distribution that approximates sunlight, allowing for tests that more accurately reproduce sunlight exposure. 【Support for High Irradiance Tests】 We also accommodate high irradiance tests with ultraviolet irradiance approximately three times that of sunlight (180W/m²), enabling more accelerated evaluations. 【Support for Evaluation of Color, Gloss, and Haze Before and After Testing】 For the evaluation of test specimens before and after testing, we can assess color, gloss, and haze using colorimeters, gloss meters, and haze meters.
