Is the filter used to protect against contaminants in the oil hydraulic system degrading the oil? Explained in the technical documentation!
CleanTech handles purification, cleaning, and cleaning devices for lubricants and hydraulic oils. Since its establishment, we have been engaged in research on lubrication management and have developed and sold an electrostatic oil purification machine that cleans oil using electric power. By properly managing "oil," we can prevent the deterioration and failure of equipment, leading to improved productivity. In this document, our PhD in engineering explains about "oil." [Contents] Filters degrade oil 1. Introduction 2. History of hydraulic systems and filters 3. Past research on oil charging, thermal decomposition, and auto-oxidation of oil 4. Experiments to demonstrate that filters oxidize oil 5. Does charging occur in all types of filters? 6. Conclusion *For more details, please download and view the PDF.

basic information
**Summary** Using a filter causes friction between the oil and the filter element, generating static electricity. This not only charges the oil but also accumulates static electricity with the opposite polarity on the filter side. The accumulated static electricity discharges as sparks, losing charge, but quickly becomes fully charged again. In this way, spark discharges occur intermittently. When spark discharges happen in the oil, the oil molecules are sheared, leading to what is known as "cracking" (thermal decomposition), resulting in the formation of highly reactive and unstable intermediates called free radicals. Alkyl radicals react with oxygen in the oil to form peroxy radicals, which in turn react with the base oil to create more alkyl radicals, thus promoting the auto-oxidation of the oil. As auto-oxidation progresses, it gradually leads to polymerization, forming sludge and degrading the oil. *For more details, please download the PDF.*

Company information
Clean Tech Co., Ltd. has been engaged in research on lubrication management since its establishment as a research institute in 1961, and it introduced the world's first electrostatic oil cleaning machine that purifies oil using electric power. As of 2023, we continue to conduct research on the purification of oils and fats using static electricity and the production of purification devices (filtration). Recently, the 17 goals of the SDGs have been highlighted in the media. There are cases where our technology can be applied. Leveraging our experience and knowledge as pioneers in oil purification, cleaning, and filtration devices for lubricants and hydraulic oils, we aim to provide technological innovation to our customers, address environmental issues head-on, and develop presentations that meet the needs of the new era. We tackle environmental conservation and cost reduction directly, supporting a livable planet and achieving environmental protection and cost reduction in various industrial facilities.
