High bandwidth, low latency memory expansion card
The FMC-NVMe expansion daughter card provides four NVMe interfaces (two on each side of the board) and allows the connection of SSD NVMe cards via standard M.2 connectors. All NVMe interfaces are connected to a Microsemi PM8532 PCIe switch, which connects to the carrier card using a standard FMC connector and a PCIe x8 GEN3 interface. This PCIe switch enables the connection of four NVMe interfaces and other FMC-NVMe cards in the stack via PCIe x4 GEN3. This daughter card supports the stacking of up to seven boards (up to 28 NVMe drives) on a single carrier card using the FMC connector.
