Silicone-based surface modifiers with leveling and defoaming effects for solvent-based and non-solvent-based applications.
BYK-329 significantly reduces the surface tension of paints, leading to improved leveling and enhanced defoaming properties. It particularly improves the wettability of two-component epoxy floor coatings on substrates. Features - Main component: Polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane - Cyclic siloxane content: Less than 0.1% - Excellent leveling effect - Good defoaming effect (especially in thick films) - Active ingredient 100% - Effective in small amounts: Recommended addition level 0.05 – 0.5% - Recommended applications: Solvent-based and solvent-free floor coatings, industrial coatings

Applicable Fields • Floor Coatings • General Industrial Coatings • Automotive Coatings Recommended Uses: BYK-329 is suitable for solvent-based and solvent-free two-component epoxy resins, PUR resins, and polyaspartic acid coatings. It improves leveling and defoaming properties even at low addition levels. This product is very user-friendly and differs from so-called silicone oils. However, please conduct continuous tests to confirm whether foam stability occurs in specific systems. Also, check for recoatability and beading. Recommended Addition Level: 0.05-0.5% of the total formulation Addition Method: BYK-329 can be added at any stage of the manufacturing process (including post-addition).
