[Manufacturing Example] Soft PVC Wood Grain Pattern 2-Color Extrusion Prototype

Prototype with our available molds! The base for two-color molding can accommodate both rigid PVC and flexible PVC.

We would like to introduce a case study of manufacturing two-color resin molded products. The customer is considering resin molded products with a wood grain pattern and we created prototypes to see what kind of wood grain pattern could be achieved. As a theme for future consideration, we prototyped using our existing molds. We have experience with wood grain patterns in hard PVC, ABS, and PS, so we utilized that experience for this trial. Although we had no experience with soft PVC, we achieved a wood grain pattern as shown in the photo. The base for two-color molding can accommodate either hard PVC or soft PVC.
