From transportation to inspection! Functional coatings for semiconductor manufacturing and precision equipment.
PEEKCOAT
No need for resin part attachment. Directly form a unified film of PEEK and fluororesin onto metal parts! Prevents foreign matter accumulation and peeling at seams, significantly reducing labor and costs.
In the manufacturing and inspection processes of semiconductor wafers and glass substrates, minute contact scratches and the adhesion of metallic microparticles (contamination) can lead to critical product defects. Traditionally, measures such as processing resin blocks or attaching resin plates to metal parts were mainstream, but there were many challenges, including "a huge amount of labor required for fine adjustments during assembly," "foreign substances accumulating at joints," and "the need for regular replacement due to peeling and wear." Our "functional coating" fundamentally resolves these issues by directly forming a high-performance resin (PEEK or fluororesin) as a single integrated film on metal parts. ■ Advantages of this technology - Elimination of the risk of foreign substance accumulation and peeling due to a seamless integrated coating - Simultaneous achievement of high-precision dimensional control and excellent scratch prevention and resistance to metal contamination - Complete elimination of the processes of attaching resin molded products or using screws, significantly reducing manufacturing costs We can flexibly respond to prototype construction and test processing from a single piece.

【Specific Applications and Achievements by Component】 ■Transport Hand and Crack Prevention Claw - Application: Transport and holding parts for wafers and glass substrates - Effect: Prevents chipping and scratches due to metal contact with PEEK coating. Eliminates the risk of deterioration and detachment like that of adhesive parts. ■CMP Surrounding and Chemical Area Components - Application: Metal parts in environments where polishing slurry and strong acids/alkalis are splashed - Effect: Prevents corrosion with fluororesin coating, providing high cleanability and insulation to extend the lifespan of the parts. ■Inspection Device Stage (Large Parts in the 1-2m Class) - Application: Wafer and substrate mounting stage for precision inspection devices - Effect: Forms a completely flat surface without seams through "thick film PEEK coating + precision machining." Eliminates the molding attachment process entirely, reducing costs.

Company information
Nikken Coating Industry Co., Ltd. has been a specialized manufacturer of functional coatings for contract processing, earning the trust of customers across various industries for 79 years since its founding. We leverage our processing technology to maximize the properties of fluororesins, such as non-stick, lubricity, and chemical resistance, providing high-performance coatings that directly address customer challenges, including "Thermo Pro Release" for thermal welding processes and "NonStick STC" for blades and precision molds. In recent years, in response to movements regarding regulations on fluorinated compounds (PFAS), "PEEK resin," which is gaining attention as a substitute for fluororesins, has become a focus. Nikken Coating Industry commercialized the world's first PEEK resin coating, "PEEKCOAT," in 1999. Based on the solid knowledge and know-how accumulated over more than 20 years, we are further intensifying our research and development efforts to explore the potential of next-generation PEEK coatings! We aim to be recognized as "the go-to for PEEK coatings" and will continue to lead the way. As "the best partner for functional coatings that builds trust through technology," Nikken Coating Industry will continue to contribute to the creation of high-quality, high-performance products.
