In this temperature range, the strength of ordinary steel significantly decreases, and material changes due to prolonged exposure cannot be ignored. At around 300 to 450°C, materials containing Cr and Mo may be advantageous in suppressing high-temperature softening. Candidates include SB450M, SB480M, SCM series steels, and specially designed high-strength steels, but even within the same strength class, high-temperature performance can vary.
