Notification for High-Pressure Gas Sales Business
KH-10 | High Pressure Gas Safety Act | Sales business notification
When starting to sell gas or adding sales locations. From notifications for each sales office to appointing a sales supervisor.
Starting a high-pressure gas sales business requires a notification to the prefectural governor for each sales office at least 20 days before the business begins (High Pressure Gas Safety Act Article 20-4). Regardless of whether gas is physically handled there, a location where transactions (contracts) are made counts as a sales office. Depending on the gas, a sales supervisor must also be appointed. Trading companies and material manufacturers handling gas as a secondary product, or opening or relocating offices, often hesitate over whether a notification is needed. We determine whether a notification is needed from your transaction model and gas types, and prepare and file notifications for each sales office and the sales supervisor appointment. LPG sales require separate registration under the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Act, so please consult us about that too.
