PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene / fluoropolymer) is resistant to almost all chemicals and has one of the lowest friction coefficients among resins. Its continuous use temperature is approximately 260°C, and its water absorption rate is extremely low at 0.01%. It is used in seals, gaskets, low-load sliding parts, and insulating components. - Seal materials and gaskets for liquid applications - Lining for pipes and containers - Low-load sliding parts (sliding plates, guides) - Electrical insulation components utilizing high-frequency characteristics - Transport components that dislike adhesion (non-stick components) [Note] The strength and rigidity are low, and continuous loading can lead to creep deformation. For sliding parts under load, consider using POM, and for high temperatures, consider PI (Vespel SP-21/SP-211). [Processing Note] Due to being soft and easily deformable, be careful not to over-tighten during chucking. There is significant linear expansion, and dimensions may change after processing.
