PE-UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is a resin with extremely high wear resistance and impact resistance. It has a specific gravity of 0.94, making it lightweight and buoyant in water, and it absorbs very little moisture. In areas where wear is a primary concern, it is expected to have a longer lifespan than MC nylon and POM, and it is widely used in sliding and wear-resistant applications at room temperature, such as guide rails for conveyor lines and linings for hoppers and chutes. If heat resistance and rigidity are required, consider MC nylon; if dimensional accuracy is needed, consider POM. [Note] The continuous use temperature is low at about 80°C, making it unsuitable for high-temperature environments. It is soft and has a large linear expansion, making it unsuitable for precise tolerances. It is difficult to bond, so mechanical fastening is essential.
