Analysis of organic-inorganic composite materials using FT-IR and EDX.
We will introduce an example of analyzing organic-inorganic composite materials using FT-IR and SEM-EDX. FT-IR measurements were conducted on the glossy and non-glossy areas of a PET bottle label, and the IR spectra differed between the glossy and non-glossy areas. Since the non-glossy area resembles the spectrum of acrylic resin, it is considered that the main component is acrylic resin. Additionally, SEM-EDX measurements were performed on both the glossy and non-glossy areas, and EDX spectra and backscattered electron images were obtained, revealing that the non-glossy area contained sulfur (S) and barium (Ba), which were not detected in the glossy area.
Cross-sectional observation and hardness measurement of the weld joint were conducted! It was found that the void in the center is a blowhole.

Cross-sectional hardness of aluminum welds (spot welding)
We conducted hardness measurements on aluminum spot welds that were subjected to cross-sectional observation, and we would like to present an example of the trends observed in Vickers hardness, Young's modulus, and elasticity ratio. X-ray radiographic observation confirmed the presence of voids within the weld. Cross-sectional observation revealed that the central void was a blowhole. Furthermore, the results of the hardness measurements indicated that the area near the blowhole was hard but had low stiffness and was prone to deformation, while areas slightly away from the blowhole exhibited higher stiffness and were somewhat brittle. At Aites Co., Ltd., high-temperature reverse bias testing (HTRB) for evaluating the oxide film and junction of power devices can be applied up to a maximum of 2000V. By monitoring the leakage current during the test, the degradation status of the device can be grasped in real-time. Since the power supply is independent, if one device fails during the test, it will not affect the other devices. About the curing temperature of epoxy resin free from hazardous substances.
We conducted measurements to reconfirm the temperature of heat generation during curing, following the change to a non-toxic epoxy resin. When using a large amount of resin, we apply heat generation prevention treatment for resin embedding. Without this treatment, the temperature can rise up to 138°C during curing. However, by applying the heat generation prevention treatment even with a large amount of resin, we were able to keep the heat generation during curing within 30°C.

We will launch a new product, a five-purpose corner.
Our company is adding a new corner component to our R baseboard. It is called the "Five-Use Corner." We have developed a new part made from molded ABS resin to improve the end caps shared by the 50R baseboard series: 55H, 100H, and 150H. It has been found that this can also be used as an external corner for the 55H. Additionally, it can be used alone for three-way internal corners without using any baseboard at all. In other words, it has become a five-use corner that can be utilized in five different ways. The Five-Use Corner is available in silver and stainless colors to match the aluminum and stainless specifications of the 50R baseboard. Both are coated on top of ABS resin. Furthermore, we will continue to sell the existing stainless steel end caps for the 50R, so you can choose according to the condition of the installation site or your preference.
