Contec has launched a new product, a 4-channel thermocouple input expansion board, as part of its CPI series of Raspberry Pi(R) HAT-sized boards, starting from June 3, 2025. This new product is an expansion board that allows for the input of thermocouples, which are widely used for temperature measurement, to the Raspberry Pi(R) CPU board. Up to eight boards of the same series can be connected, enabling the construction of a thermocouple input system with a maximum of 32 channels. It is ideal for applications such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment that requires multi-point temperature control, manufacturing equipment that needs temperature management, and food machinery. 【Main Features】 ● Supports various types of thermocouple inputs ● Equipped with cold junction compensation function ● Allows connection of up to 8 boards ● Compatible with ambient temperatures from -20 to 60°C ● Does not use electrolytic capacitors ● Driver software compatible with Linux

The new product features a 4U rack-mounted chassis and supports a high-performance many-core CPU, the 32-core 64-thread Xeon Gold 6530, which allows for long-term supply, as well as high-speed DDR5-5600 memory, achieving high processing capabilities. The new product is an HPC-oriented industrial computer that can be equipped with a high-performance 24-core, 32-thread 13th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processor (Raptor Lake) CPU in a 19-inch rack mount 4U type chassis, ensuring long-term supply. The PCI Express 5.0 (x16) x1 slot is directly connected to the CPU, allowing for the use of the latest dual-slot GPU boards at maximum performance. It can also be switched to PCI Express 5.0 (x8) x2 slots via jumper settings, enabling the operation of two GPU boards with eight lanes of performance. Additionally, it is equipped with PCI Express 4.0 (x4) x2, PCI Express 3.0 (x4) x1, and PCI x2 slots, making it suitable for replacing development assets.
