It is possible to measure coatings on both ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates in combination with the probe.

Since the probes are compatible, you can freely combine the main unit and the probes. Depending on the measurement target, you can connect a compatible probe for ferrous materials (electromagnetic type), a probe for non-ferrous metals (eddy current type), or a dual probe for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The newly introduced dual-type probe (FN-325) can automatically recognize and measure ferrous and non-ferrous base metals. It features a two-point adjustment for zero calibration and standard calibration. It complies with various standards, including JIS K 5600, as well as regulations, internal rules, and standards from government agencies, testing laboratories, research institutes, and various organizations, as well as international standards such as ISO 2808. *If you are using it for the first time, please select at least one type of main unit and one type of probe.

The thickness of the wet coating film can be measured easily.

It is used for measuring wet film thickness. By contacting the wet (un-dried) coating, the film thickness can be measured. Since it is made of stainless steel, it can be used repeatedly by wiping off the paint after use. There are three sizes available: S 20-370μm, M 25-2000μm, and L 50-10,000μm. There is also one size of aluminum comb-shaped wet film thickness gauge available, which measures 25-2,000μm.

It is possible to accurately measure the film thickness of wet (undried) coatings on-site.

It is used for measuring wet film thickness. Compared to the comb type, it allows for more precise film thickness management. However, this means that a larger area will be destroyed. The accuracy is ±5μm. Place the main body on the wet paint film and slowly rotate the wheel part by hand to check the areas with and without paint.
