Maxon Japan Co., Ltd. will significantly reduce the cost of its brushless DC motor EC-i40 product line and begin sales from April 15, 2013. This has been made possible by reviewing production costs and component procurement costs at the Maxon Motor Group's dedicated factory in Korea, which started operations on January 11, 2013. The product line was originally developed to meet the demands of the Japanese robotics market for small, thin, high-power, and high-response actuators.
